Last update: 29 June 2018
Drift (DF), Drag Race (DR) and Hypercar (HC) are all names of a few selected groups of vehicles available in The Crew 2. All of them are part of the main category, Street Racing. Below you can find their list and general information about each of the groups.

Explanatory notes for the table's content and used abbreviations
The second column in our table is the most enigmatic one. Shortcuts used there are the same as those used in the game and they inform you to which group a given vehicle belongs to - in which contests you can use it. Here is the list of the contest categories that are available in the game (besides that there are also unique mini-groups for helicopters and hovercraft):
- SR - Street Race (one of the categories with the biggest number of vehicles)
- DF - Drift
- DR - Drag Race (races in a straight line)
- HC - Hypercar (races of the most powerful cars)
- RR - Rally Raid (races where you can drive raid cars and bikes)
- RX - Rally Cross (races where you can drive rally cars)
- MX - Motocross
- AB - Aerobatics
- JS - Jetsprint (races with jetsprint boats)
- MT - Monster Truck
- PB - Power Boat (boats with powerful engines)
- TC - Touring Car (heavily modified road-going cars)
- AGP - Alpha GP (single-seater cars)
- AR - Air Race (race planes)
The third column in our table lists two prices. The first is the "main" one in bucks (you get them by, e.g. participating in the contests). The second alternate currency are the Crew Credits. You can get them with real money (microtransactions), by reaching new carrer levels (Popular, Star, Icon) or by participating in special challenges.
The fourth column in the table informs about the default perf level of a given vehicle. This parameter determines a vehicle's performance and possibilities. It can be increased by installing new upgrades (received from lootboxes). Each vehicle category has a different maximum perf level (e.g. 280 points for Street Race category).
The fifth column informs about the default handling of a given vehicle - how easy (or difficult) a vehicle is to handle. This value can also change with upgrades. For example, a vehicle with increased power can be harder to handle - giving it better tires can change that.
Information and tips for DF category
- Initially, the DF category is locked in the career mode. You can unlock it by gathering enough followers and reaching Popular fame level. Then, you have to visit the meeting place for the Street Racing category.
- The game won't give you any of the Drift category cars for free, you have to pay for them yourself. Some of the vehicles in this category are much cheaper than those from SR group. For example, Mazda RX-7 Drift Edition (which is a rather good car) can be bought for around 100,000 bucks. However, prepare yourself to spend more than 600,000 bucks if you want to have one of the "most powerful" cars in this group.
- Note that two cars from this list - RUF 3400 K and Shelby GT500 Drift Edition - have lower handling value (they handle better). Test them out if you have problems with handling drift cars.

Information and tips for DR category
- Initially, the DR category is locked in the career mode. You can unlock it by gathering enough followers and reaching Famous fame level. Then, you have to visit the meeting place for the Street Racing category.
- The game won't give you any free vehicles from the Drag category. You have to buy them yourself. They all have similar perf levels and they all cost less than 200,000 bucks. Also, when it comes to vehicles from Drag Race category, it is more important to "grind" (repeat races) your vehicle rather than to think which starting vehicle you should get. This grinding allows you to get better parts for your car.

Information and tips for HC category
- Initially, the HC category is locked in the career mode. You can unlock it by gathering enough followers and reaching Star fame level. Then, you have to visit the meeting place for the Street Racing category.
- You can get two Hypercar-class vehicles for free but don't expect to get them fast. Ferrari LaFerrari requires you to reach Icon 600 level (this is the last bonus vehicle that you can unlock by making progress in the career mode). McLaren P1 is received after beating the master of the entire Street Racing category.
- The Hypercar category has a wide range of prices and perf levels. If you want to join this category without spending too much then get Maserati MC12 for 443,100 bucks. Alternatively, you can wait until you get more money and buy, e.g. McLaren F1 for 843,000 bucks. The best car in this category, and the fastest in the game, is Koenigsegg Regera. Sadly, this car costs more than 1,700,000 bucks.
