Defeating the champions (bosses) from the 4 families in The Crew 2 The Crew 2 Guide and Walkthrough

Last update: 02 July 2018

Racing against other masters of the wheel is an important part of the career mode in The Crew 2. On this page you can find all the important information - how to unlock races against champions and what are those races' requirements.

Unlocking the races with the champions

The Crew 2 features four champions, each for every category (family) - Street Racing, Off-road, Pro Racing and Freestyle - Defeating the champions (bosses) from the 4 families in The Crew 2 - Career mode - The Crew 2 Game Guide

The Crew 2 features four champions, each for every category (family) - Street Racing, Off-road, Pro Racing and Freestyle. Each of these duels is unlocked separately.

A race with a champion becomes available after completing at least 70% of races and side activities within a particular category:

  1. Completing events for a given category (e.g. Street Race, Drift, Drag Race and Hypercar for Street Racing group).
  2. Completing tests (skill challenges) for a given category.
  3. Completing Photo Ops for a given category (completing the photo album).

Open the main menu and go to Activities tab to check your progress. Find the category (family) that interests you. You can now see the current progress expressed in percentage. The same menu also gives you option to select races or challenges that you haven't completed yet.

Additional note - Certain events appear only on the Activities list, they might not appear on the main map.

The game plays a cut-scene after reaching more than 70% in a given category - Defeating the champions (bosses) from the 4 families in The Crew 2 - Career mode - The Crew 2 Game Guide

The game plays a cut-scene after reaching more than 70% in a given category. Also, a new marker is added on the map - this is the place where you can start a race with a champion. You have to use your own vehicle so prepare yourself for that. Complete a lot of "regular" races and buy better vehicles or upgrade those already owned before you start a duel with a champion.

Defeating Tio Marquez (Street Racing family)

The race with Tio Marquez requires you to use vehicles from Hypercar and Street Race categories - Defeating the champions (bosses) from the 4 families in The Crew 2 - Career mode - The Crew 2 Game Guide

The race with Tio Marquez requires you to use vehicles from Hypercar and Street Race categories. You start in a Hypercar (Marquez drives in his McLaren). Watch out while driving through the city because it is easy to hit a car or an indestructible obstacle (e.g. a wall; luckily, street lamps can be destroyed). Don't drive too fast, focus on precision.

After completing 2/3 of the race you will automatically move to a Street Race car. Again, watch out in places where you can hit an obstacle or where you have to make a sharp turn.

For defeating Tio Marquez you get Ruler of the Streets achievement and McLaren P1 from Hypercar category (go to Street Racing HQ in order to get it).

Defeating Tucker Morgan (Off-road family)

To defeat Tucker Morgan, you have to use vehicles from Rally Cross, Rally Raid and Motocross categories - Defeating the champions (bosses) from the 4 families in The Crew 2 - Career mode - The Crew 2 Game Guide

To defeat Tucker Morgan, you have to use vehicles from Rally Cross, Rally Raid and Motocross categories. The race with him is unusual because it consists of two parts. In the first part you start by driving a rallycross car. Don't worry when Tucker gets the lead by making a better turn or by using a shortcut.

It is more important to have a better run with a Rally Raid car - this change happens after completing about 1/3 of the race. Watch out while you are driving through the field - you can easily stop your car on agricultural equipment. Avoid trees and try to climb the hill without any mistakes - the finish line is located at its top.

The first race starts after you defeat Morgan for the first time - Defeating the champions (bosses) from the 4 families in The Crew 2 - Career mode - The Crew 2 Game Guide

The first race starts after you defeat Morgan for the first time. During this race you have to drive a Rally Cross car and then (after completing half of the race) you switch to a rallycross bike. The second part is more important - making a more serious mistake can give Morgan a great lead. Avoid trees at all cost - you are driving a bike which can stop completely after hitting a tree. This is especially important during the final part of the race.

For defeating Tucker Morgan, you get Double Down achievement and Proto A500 helicopter (go to Off-road HQ in order to get it).

Defeating Clarence Bishop the Third (Pro Racing family)

The duel with Clarence requires you to drive vehicles from Touring Car, Powerboat and Alpha GP categories - Defeating the champions (bosses) from the 4 families in The Crew 2 - Career mode - The Crew 2 Game Guide

The duel with Clarence requires you to drive vehicles from Touring Car, Powerboat and Alpha GP categories. You start the race inside your Touring Car - be careful, your car has a reduced traction due to the snow and ice on the roads.

The Powerboat part starts after about 1/4 of the race - this section isn't challenging. The last 50% of the race must be completed inside an Alpha GP car. Again, remember about the reduced traction. Don't rush forward in places where the route is narrow or in places where you have to make sharp turns and reverses. Luckily, the last part consists of multiple straight sections and smooth turns. This is the moment where you can regain your lost position.

For defeating Clarence Bishop the Third you get Master of the Line achievement and Aston Martin Vulcan from the Touring Car category (go to Pro Racing HQ in order to get it).

Defeating Sofia (Freestyle family)

The duel with Sofia requires you to drive vehicles from Jetsprint and Monster Truck categories - Defeating the champions (bosses) from the 4 families in The Crew 2 - Career mode - The Crew 2 Game Guide

The duel with Sofia requires you to drive vehicles from Jetsprint and Monster Truck categories. Sadly, both of these parts are rather challenging. You start inside of your Jetsprint boat. Be careful because it is easy to get outside the track - your only solution here may be the option to get your boat back into water. This can cost you a lot of time - Sofia will get the lead.

Your current vehicle gets replaced with another after 65% of the race. You can now drive on swamps without the need to drive on more solid roads. However, remember that monster trucks are worse in handling than the regular sports cars. The last part is the most difficult. The tracks become narrower - because of its size your monster truck can hit an obstacle. Slow down a little bit don't lose any of your precision. You can also leave a little bit of nitro for the last part of the race.

For defeating Sofia, you get Creative Thinker achievement and Proto XT3 hovercraft (go to Freestyle HQ in order to get it).
