Coast to Coast - how to win the New York Hypercar event in The Crew 2? The Crew 2 Guide and Walkthrough

On this page you can learn how to unlock Coast to Coast trophy available in The Crew 2. This trophy requires you to complete the New York - Hypercar event. You have to reach the finish line while being in the top three of that race.

New York - Hypercar event can be unlocked after reaching Star fame level. This is the moment when you get access to Hypercar group (Street Racing category). The starting place of this event is in New York. It should be noted that this is an extremely long race. Reaching the finish line should take you about 40 minutes.

You can use any of the Hypercars. We have used Ferrari 458 Speciale but you can also choose a vehicle with higher perf level. Of course, Koenigsegg Regera is the best choice. This car has the best statistics but it is also the most expensive vehicle in the game.

Here are a few tips for New York - Hypercar event:

1. Eight cars can participate in the event. In default, seven of them are controlled by AI. You can increase your chance at winning the race by inviting your friends - they will replace some of the AI-controlled vehicles.
2. New York - Hypercar is a long-distance race. Don't worry too much if at some point you lose the leading position or you get behind the top three places. The AI cars should slow down a little bit to allow you to fight for the first place again. This mechanism, called rubberbanding, works in two ways. Others can quickly reach you if you make a mistake.
3. You absolutely have to pay attention to the map and to the race's route - there won't be any arrows informing you about turns etc. Ignoring this can lead to serious trouble especially if you don't use, e.g. a marked highway exit.
4. There are many places where you have to make sharp turns and reversions. Check these places in advance on the map and prepare yourself to complete them without making a mistake.
5. Don't make any shortcuts. Stay on the route presented on your minimap. Usually, these attempts may end with you hitting a barrier or driving through a hole in the road.

1. It starts raining after reaching about 30% of the race. This means reduced traction and speed. You should also avoid driving on other roads than those made out of asphalt - your car will lose even more speed. Watch out for bigger puddles, even when it stops raining.

1. After reaching 60% of the race you should reach Las Vegas. You have to drive through the center of this enormous city. Watch out for traffic and numerous sharp turns.

1. It starts to get dark after reaching 80%. During night it is even more important to keep an eye on the map because you can easily miss, e.g. a highway exit.
2. Luckily, the end of this race is a combination of long straight roads and smooth turns. This can help you greatly in getting the first place back or you can use this opportunity to escape from the other contestants. Don't forget to use nitro.
