Getting to Vahlen's command center | Mission 6 - Kasserine Pass Sniper Elite III Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
The command center is in the Eastern part of the map (point 9 on the map) and you can approach it from various sides. One of the possibilities is to reach here from the North-West, i.e. from the side of the first rocket launcher. In this case, it is a good idea to take the South-most path (at most, you will encounter here only one opponent) and unlock the last sniper nest that you find along your path (blue point 3 on the map).
Another interesting variant is to make it over across the Southern part of the map. In this case, you can either take the Southern road or follow several new tunnels (points 2 on the map). Along your path, it is a good idea to check out the single cottage, where there is another War Diary - Axis Account: Dangerous Ambitions; green point 8 on the map).
The variant that I suggest assumes that you climb the Southern hill that neighbor's Vahlen's command center. Start near the second destroyed rocket launcher. Go South and locate the climbing spot shown in the above screenshot. (point 8 on the map). Make it over onto the Southern hill and use a suppressed weapon to eliminate the three enemies staying here.
Thanks to reaching the Southern hill, suggested above, you will obtain a perfect view of the entire area around the command center. You can now start eliminating successive enemies, at a distance. What is interesting, you do not need to wait for the opportunity to drown out the bang of the gunfire, at all costs, because you just need to move over to another part of the hill, if it is heard, and hide again in this way. Additionally, you can secure and mine the only "regular" path to this hill (the one that does not require climbing over ledges).
In any way you want to, keep eliminating the enemies and remember that you also need to deal with the two enemy soldiers, who keep walking back into the command center. After you have secured the area, head towards your current target and take any stairs to enter the temple.
