In the first part of mission 2 (Occupied Residence) in Sniper Elite 5, you will have to get inside the chateau to locate Moller's office. Reaching the vicinity of the chateau

After mission 2 starts, listen to the conversation in the rebel camp. You will immediately receive the mission objective of finding Moller's office, but you must first infiltrate the chateau - the largest building on the map. There are 3 main paths leading to the northern part of the map:

1. The left path (point 1 on our map) requires crossing the bridge over the river.
2. The middle path (point 2 on our map) assumes using the main road with an enemy outpost on it.
3. The path on the right (point 3 on our map) assumes crossing the river in the forest.

All three of these paths are described in more detail below.

The left path is one of the two you should consider (the other recommended path is the right one). It leads towards the church tower that stands out from the surrounding area. When you get there, you can start climbing the tower. Get rid of two enemies from one of the higher floors.

Sabotaging the generator from picture 2 can help you mask the gunshots, but you have to shoot only when the sound wave is visible, which symbolizes the active loud area. You can use this to eliminate some nearby enemies (incl. those northwest of the farm).

Bridge over the river is by default guarded by several soldiers (including at least one on the observation tower) and a machine gun operator. You should be able to kill all of these enemies from a greater distance. It may be, e.g. the aforementioned western farm, where sabotaging a truck will create a loud area for masking the shots.

Crossing the bridge will allow you to get closer to the asphalt road that separates the southern part of the map from the chateau areas in the north.

We strongly advise against the middle path. It leads to a highly guarded outpost that you cannot go around easily. Even if you manage to deal with a few enemies guarding this passage from a distance, you may alert enemies from around the chateau as well as the vehicles' crews traveling around the map.

The right path is the best in our opinion, because it leads to the perfect passage to the chateau that will allow you to avoid most of the enemies.

Soon after selecting it, you will approach the farm. You can shoot the enemies visible in the area from afar or start killing them after you get closer.

On the farm, head to the main building and reach its attic, where you will find, among others, a generator you can sabotage. It will make noise, allowing you to attack enemies from the riverbed more effectively without alerting them to your location (fire only when the sound wave is visible, which symbolizes the active loud area).

Head north or northeast to the second farm. You have to be careful here, because there is a sniper hiding inside the western building on the first floor. If you manage to get to the northern building, you can find an armory, which, in addition to weapons, ammunition and other supplies, also has a workbench. There is also a key to the old tunnels here and we have discussed the tunnels in more detail in the next section of the walkthrough.

The path through the forest or through the farm will allow you to get closer to the asphalt road that separates the southern part of the map from the chateau areas in the north.

Regardless of how you approach the chateau, you must watch out for vehicles traveling along the main roads. There are various variants - a truck, Kubelwagon or a motorcycle with a trailer. Attacking the vehicle crew may provoke them to join the fight. You can destroy enemy machines with e.g. mines, but this will not necessarily solve the problem, because more may appear anyway. It's best to just hide in advance, e.g. in tall grass by the road, and let the vehicle pass the hero.

Infiltrating the Chateau

You can get to the chateau from virtually every side and by selecting the passages leading to different floors of the building.

We recommend infiltrating the building via the old tunnels. The entrance to them is located to the south-east of the chateau, in the place presented in the pictures above, which you can easily reach if you chose the right path earlier.

The entrance is closed - you can open it in two ways:

1. Use an explosive, e.g. taken from one of the nearby farms.
2. Get the key to the tunnels. You have to visit the eastern farm for this. The key is on one of the tables in the main building of this farm (watch out for the sniper in this area - he is hiding on the upper floor of one of the buildings!).

By going through the tunnels, you will reach the moat surrounding the chateau building. This area is patrolled by single enemies, whom you can easily surprise (and hide their bodies).

After you reach the moat, you have two paths to choose from:

1. Entrance to the basement from the picture 1. After dealing with opponents, you can find a very valuable workbench with rifle upgrades, thanks to which you can unlock, e.g. first models of silencers. In the basement, you will also find several passages to the higher floors of the property.
2. Climbing the vines - an example is shown in picture 2. There are a few vines growing on the outer walls of the chateau. By climbing, you will reach the open shutters - go through them to enter the building.

Taking the main south bridge leading to the chateau is not a good idea, as it is closely guarded. You would have to get rid of the enemies one by one, including those standing by the windows and on the balconies of the chateau, who often have an excellent view and can sound the alarm.

Other alternative paths assume approaching the chateau from the east (after choosing the right path first) or west (after selecting the left path first).

Also in this case, you must bear in mind that the enemies can see you from a long distance. The sniper from the northern building marked in the picture, who carefully observes the area of the main courtyard of the chateau, is extremely dangerous. It is best to sneak inside, go to the upper floor and get rid of the sniper with a takedown.

Find Moller's office

Moller's office is located in the western part of the chateau, on the middle floor of the building - it is shown in the picture above. You can get there, e.g. by choosing one of the main staircases - in the eastern or northern part of the building.

While going through the main corridors of the property, check the radar frequently and activate focus to reduce the risk of encountering an enemy.

Elite opponents called Jagers may be lurking near Moller's office. They are characterized by better equipment, increased durability, and a longer health bar. Attacking them with a silenced weapon can be insufficient. We suggest using takedowns - they won't be able to defend themselves.
