The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 can be crossed by trains, which are an attractive means of transport in the game. On this page you can find out how to get on board the train and whether you can control the train in person.
There are three main ways to get on board the train. The first method is to visit a train station in any city and buy a ticket. Depending on the chosen destination, the ticket may cost from a few to even more than $10. Immediately after purchasing the ticket, the train will appear and the journey begins.
The second method is to wait on the platform for the train to arrive and start the journey as a stowaway. Trains travel according to fixed routes.
The last and third method is to get closer on horseback to the moving train and to reach it. This technique also allows you to travel without a ticket.
Red Dead Redemption 2 allows you to take control of every train. To do this, you must reach the locomotive and press the button indicated by the game, so that the main character will throw the driver out of the cabin and take over the controls. You can control the speed of the train and give audible signals.
Note - Taking control of the train is a crime. You may be attacked by train security and additionally become a target for law officers.
