The main character of Red Dead Redemption 2 can wear a variety of outfits. The choice of clothing element does not necessarily have to be purely cosmetic, as the outfit may also affect the course of the game to a certain extent. On this page we explain how to change the hero's outfit and what is the reason for doing so.
Some outfits are available from the very beginning of the game or are rewards for completing a mission, although you can also buy new outfits in stores. It's best to always choose full outfits, so you won't have to match "matching" clothes by hand. Unfortunately, full costumes are expensive and can cost $100 or more.
The easiest way to change your outfit is in the gang camp when you reach the wardrobe - it is shown in the attached picture. In the Horseshoe Overlook camp it is located next to Arthur's bed.
You can also assign a costume to a hero's horse by pressing the corresponding button when it is displayed. This is a useful feature because you can change your outfit without having to return to the gang camp every time you want to change your apparel.
The most important outfits in the game are those intended for use at high and low temperatures. Information about their "specialization" can always be found in the description - for example in the picture we have attached (lower left corner of the screen).
Adjusting the outfit to the prevailing weather conditions slows down the exhaustion of Health Core. It is therefore a good idea to remember this and put on the right clothes depending on the temperature. In the initial locations you visit mainly cold regions of the world, but in the further part of the game you will also have a look at those where it is much warmer. It is always worth having one favorite outfit at hand "for summer" and "for winter".
Note - You can also check the suit's adjustment to the prevailing conditions in the pause menu - in the window that contains information about hero's health and stats.
