Shadow of War: Carnan's Bane - Walkthrough Middle-earth: Shadow of War Guide
Last update: 20 December 2022
Quests: Carnán
Main objective: Defeat Tar Goroth.
Kill the Acolytes and Zog.
- Sauron's Acolytes want to summon fire and shadow that can plunge the entire Middle-Earth into darkness. You must stop them at all cost! First, you must eliminate 10 Acolytes who are marked on the map. This is rather easy - you can use ranged attacks to quickly defeat them.
- After that you must deal with a captain - Zog. He is a dangerous enemy so be careful. You can detonate the barrels that are next to him and then try to quickly eliminate the captain. Use executions and Elven Rage.
- After that you must jump down into flames. You must watch a spectacular cut-scene during which a Balrog will appear. Fighting with him is almost impossible... but, luckily for you, the Spirit of Carnán will come to help you.
- Try to shoot with your bow at the bright marks on the Balrog's back. This is the only way to hurt him. You must perform a lot of dodges and avoid fire attacks on the ground.
- When the Balrog receives a certain amount of damage he will go up. You must accompany Carnán. Climb on the Graug and go up. Avoid the enemy's attacks and keep chasing the Balrog. Finally, you catch him on the upper level where you will participate in a spectacular fight.
- Even though you are on Graug's back, the fight plays as if you are controlling Talion only. Attack Tar Goroth and press the right buttons to avoid his whip attacks and to perform counters. You will then be knocked down to the ground.
- This phase is similar to the first one - you must shoot with your bow at the glowing points on the beast's body. This time, you should aim at his chest - a few arrows and the enemy will be defeated. Sadly, the Balrog escapes which means that he is still a great threat to the entire Middle-Earth.
Shoot the bright spots on the beast's back.
The second round takes place on the upper level.
The last phase - aim at the enemy's chest and force him to retreat.
