Qualifications in Gran Turismo Sport Gran Turismo Sport Guide, Tips

Always participate in qualifications! Even if you won't be first, they guarantee, that you start ahead of weaker drivers, slower than you, and you don't need to waste time, you would need to outrival them. The daily races are too short to catch up with the leader, even if you are very fast.
Always look at the best qualification, or training results for your race - this will allow you to have a reference point. Do not be scared that you can't get close to the Top 10 times. Even those few seconds worse, than the best allow for high starting places among drivers with lower rank.
Qualifying for day races is simply riding hot laps in loneliness without time limits - what counts is the best time obtained throughout the day. However, the qualifications for FIA tournaments take place with 20 cars on the track and last only 10 minutes. It's a big challenge to achieve a good result and it's worth following two rules here:
- First of all, do not rush to go to the track. Wait for the most nervous drivers to go out in a long procession and start with more space around you. If someone is in front of you, slow down and let them go away. You will quickly see that some people on the track are doing just that - it's smart and thoughtful. The rest drives without much sense in the crowd, often throwing each other out of the track, which ends with bad time. The first lap doesn't count.
- Try to make the first counted circle calmly, without unnecessary risk. It will not be the fastest time, but it will give you a guarantee of a start ahead of the weakest drivers. Use the following laps to really push it - you will achieve a very good time driving aggressively, exploiting every inch of the track, but it's very easy to make a mistake. If, however, you already scored a decent time, you do not have to worry that the error in each subsequent attempt will force us to start from the end of the bid.
