In Gran Turismo Sport you can create a completely new pattern of painting for your car in the editor or use the rich collection of patterns, made and uploaded by other players. You can find them in the menu on the left: Discover - Styling. When entering the selected type of painting, you must "add them to the collection". To replace the pattern, go to the Workshop and down there is the option "change the styling of the car" where you can replace your skins with a single click.

How to gain additional stickers and motives

Before doing your own painting, it is also worth visiting the "discover" tab and downloading interesting decals made by other players, in which you can find a daily expanding collection of various patterns, logotypes of well-known companies, pop-culture or character images. Decals (also called stickers) are searched by words - keys, or tags.

In stickers collections created by the community, you can find patterns and references to pop culture and logos of well-known companies.

If you cannot find the pattern that suits your needs, you can do it yourself, but it already involves some knowledge of computer graphics. Sticker must meet a number of technical conditions. It can only be a vector graphics file in .svg format, no larger than 15 kilobytes.

You can prepare something like this yourself in Corel, Adobe Illustrator or free Inkscape programs. A simpler solution is to use one of the many sites offering conversion of the selected file to the .svg format (i.e. https://www.vectorizer.io). Here, you have to take into account that the program will often decrease the image quality. Also, it will not always be possible to get the right size. When preparing such a file, remember to have as few colors as possible and small size. You can also try to divide a larger picture into several smaller ones and arrange them together on the car, like a puzzle. In this way, you can bypass the limit of 15kB.

In order to upload a file to the game, you need to log in to the official website http://www.gran-turismo.com, enter your profile, select tab "Community" and "Uploading decals".

Painting car on your own

Working in the car styling editor reminds using a graphics program, because your actions are performed on layers, which can be freely modified and combined. Every car can be painted by dividing it to several main elements, and put up to 300 different decals (stickers) on it. After launching, the bottom bar with the main options will appear.

1. Preview - by rotating the camera, the user can see the work in progress.
2. Select Background - changing the background color and lighting.
3. Paint/Color - this option allows you to paint the car with the color chosen from the pallet or with the special one - purchased in a mileage exchange.
4. Decals - here you put all stickers and graphical patterns divided into specific areas of the car body.
5. Wheels - here you can change the rims for those that you have purchased in a mileage exchange and tires for a real and specified manufacturer (changing tires is not always possible).
6. Driver's Racing Equipment - behind this name there is an option to add a number on the car (it is always in fixed positions and cannot be moved), player nicknames, Gran Turismo sign on the windshield and changes of headlights to yellow.
7. Options - here you will find settings of editor's camera.
8. Save - save and share your painting pattern.
9. Exit.
