Driver rank in Gran Turismo Sport Gran Turismo Sport Guide, Tips
Last update: 11 July 2018
The driver's rank has nothing to do with their level, reflecting only the time spent in the game. The rank can rise and fall, depending on the results obtained in the daily races and FIA tournaments. You start from level E and you can reach A and elite rank S. At the beginning, promotion is not difficult, it is enough to finish the races in a higher place than you have started and always take part in qualifications.
Going to the rank B and higher will require from us really high places in the top three, and additionally it will be helpful to take first place in qualifying and having the fastest lap in the race. The rank decreases when you finish long-distance races, when you don't take part in qualifiers or you leave the server during the competition.
High rank is useful mainly in FIA tournaments, where it has a very large impact on the number of points scored, for example. The driver who takes the 1st place with the rank D will receive a lot fewer points than the same driver with the rank of B. Both, however, are counted in the same ranking thanks to which low-ranking drivers have no chance to reach the peak. A higher rank also means better, faster opponents on the track, and therefore a more exciting but much more difficult fight for a good result.
