Good start in the Gran Turismo Sport
Races begin with a rolling start and the cars are first driven by the AI for a certain distance, and only after counting up to three do players seize the control over their cars. Depending on the place obtained in the qualifications, it can be quite an unfavorable place, for example a curb or the center of a slow curve. If you keep the gas pressed to the floor during the transfer of the controls, it may happen that the car loses grip and will rotate in the first second of the race. On the corners, remember also to have a properly prepared steering wheel/knob, turned in the right direction, so that the car does not go straight and leave the curve.
Practice the first corner just after the rolling start!
The first corner of the race is often different than on the second lap and further. This is because during the flying start cars are traveling at low speed and you approach the first turn much slower than normal, so the braking point will also be a bit further. It's worth to practice and feel this point, so that at the beginning you do not lose valuable seconds, and worse, do not be hit by drivers in the back.
Autopilot just in case
If you shall ever need to suddenly stop playing during a race, you can allow the game's AI to take control of your car. You won't get the fastest laps in the world, but the car will not end up in the sand and will not suddenly stop on the track. You will always be able to take over control and return to the fight. It also won't cause an accidental crash if the battery in the controller runs out.
