Another installment in a series of karaoke games popular among the users of Nintendo Wii consoles. We Sing can be considered a reboot of the franchise. Similar to the classic karaoke, the player's goal here is to sing different songs when the program displays the lyrics and plays the instrumentals. Performances are rewarded with points assigned by KaraEngine (an evaluation system). We Sing features 30 songs in total, including such classics as Abba's Dancing Queen, David Bowie's Let's Dance, or newer hits - See You Again by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth for instance. The game can be enjoyed either solo or with others in one of the six modes available. Because We Sing can be considered a party game, up to eight contestants can meet next to one console - part of them can use their smartphones as microphones. One can share their scores with others in online rankings. Additionally, the player can watch the video clips included in the game. High-quality visuals were delivered thanks to the advanced Unreal Engine 4.

Similarly to Guitar Hero or Rock Band, it uses a vertical board divided into several tracks where colorful bricks appear and move down towards the bottom. Each track is assigned a gamepad button which we have to press when a brick is in the corresponding field. DJMAX Respect features a hundred songs taken from DJMAX Portable and DJMAX Portable 2. The music library can be also expanded by buying additional tunes in the form of DLC. Apart from a standard arcade mode, in which we select songs from the list, DJMAX Respect offers a campaign that consists of a number of missions that add different kinds of limitations and difficulties. An episodic adventure game with music game features, developed by Among Giants. Distortions tells the story of a woman who wakes up in a hospital bed in an unknown location after an accident. She notices that the time had stopped and all objects become alive only if she touches them. While traveling through the surrealistic realm with a giant, chained creature on the horizon, the protagonist is trying to discover how she got to this weird place and how to get back to the real world. The action is shown from a third-person perspective, but the game also contains 2D sequences. During the adventure the player faces logical challenges as well as arcade ones in which a magic violin is of key importance – the item enables the player to shape reality surrounding the character. Using the instrument was implemented in a way similar to classic music games like Guitar Hero and it requires pressing specific keys to the rhythm of the melodies coming from the speakers.

PaRappa the Rapper Remastered is a remaster of the music game released on PlayStation in 1996 and on PSP ten years later. We play as the titular rapping dog who tries his best to win the heart of his crush, Sunny Funny. PaRappa is aided by his two friends, cat enthusiast Katy Kat and the chubby bear PJ Berri, in his musical stunts. Gameplay did not change at all and remains the same as in the original game: PaRappa has to do many things to impress Sunny Funny. All of that happens to the beat of music and requires the players to have a sense of rhythm and good knowledge of the game's controls. The biggest improvement introduced by the remaster are the game's visuals, which are now in much higher resolution. The game also allows us to use the DualShock 4 controller as a metronome.

An unusual, rare combination of an autorunner with a narrative rhythmical game, developed by Digixart Entertainment studio led by Yoan Fanise, former Ubisoft employee and the creator of Valiant Hearts. The story of Lost in Harmony: Kaito’s Adventure is set in an unknown futuristic world, across which the protagonist – young boy named Kaito – rides on his skateboard, carrying his friend, Aya, on his back. Each chapter represents one of the hero's phobias, such as fear of water, heights, or crowds. Kaito’s skateboard moves automatically, and the player has to avoid various obstacles by turning right, left, or jumping in right moments. However, all of this is directly connected to the background music, which not only affects the gameplay, but is also used for storytelling and expressing character’s emotions.

The second installment in the series of arcade music games established by Dylan Fitterer in 2008. The premises were not changed in Audiosurf 2; during the game players race along procedurally-generated, futuristic racing tracks and strive to collect color blocks while avoiding gray ones. The most prominent feature of the game is the fact that the colors and shapes of the tracks are generated according to the waveform of the song that plays in the background, and which can be any song the player chooses. The game accepts mp3, m4a, wav, ogg and audio CD formats. In contrast to the previous installment, this game boasts higher resolution and more special effects. In terms of the mechanics, the main novelty are the new vehicles that we can use and the ability to hover above the track for a while, which allows performing spectacular acrobatic maneuvers and avoiding the problematic parts of the track.
