Hybrid of the the FPS and rhythm game, developed by Harmonix Music Systems. In the game Audica we get two blasters at our disposal, and our task is to shoot targets to the rhythm of electronic music accompanying the game.

Audica is a game combining elements of FPS and rhythm game, developed for VR sets by Harmonix Music Systems, a team whose portfolio includes games from the Rock Band, Guitar Hero and Dance Central series.

Mechanics

In Audica we observe the action from first-person perspective. The game takes place on boards with space motifs (we see nebulaes and galaxies in the background). During the game we play the role of a character holding two blasters - orange and blue - and our task is to shoot at targets corresponding to the color of the weapon, to the rhythm of electronic music. Our actions are evaluated by a scoring system on an ongoing basis, and in order to take the highest possible place in the online rankings, we must demonstrate not only a sense of rhythm, but also accuracy, reflexes and perceptiveness.
