Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

The game is set in an alternative future, in which the world is controlled by two powerful organizations: an army of mercenaries on the government’s payroll known as G.O.D. and the eponymous 8DAYS, a newspaper which spreads propaganda that favors the ruling class. In the game you control two soldiers, whose job is to nip any developing conflicts in the bud.

In Death Road to Canada the player's task is to travel the eponymous route from Florida to the city of Ontario in Canada and to survive the hordes of zombies attacking us along the way. In the game we control a team of up to five characters (human or animal), each of which has its own unique virtues and vices.

As you play, you explore and colonize other planets, provide for their inhabitants, construct useful items and vehicles, as well as fight hostile aliens. The game is set in a procedurally generated world,providing a great amount of freedom to the players.

Players become the brains of a zombie apocalypse of the purest form, and their task is to spread the epidemic across the whole world. The main issue is the intelligence of our subjects, or rather the complete lack of it. The mechanics of gameplay in Zombie Terror are inspired by a cult classic series called Lemmings.

Trials on Tatooine is set in the universe of Star Wars. It's a free, experimental action game developed with Virtual Reality sets in mind. It was created by ILMxLAB, which consists of some members of the legendary studio, Industrial Light & Magic, which worked on CGI for over three hundred movies. The story of the game is set in between the 6th and 7th episode of the Star Wars saga. The protagonist is a Padawan of Luke Skywalker, whose task is to help Luke in restoring the Jedi Order.

The story of the game is loosely based on the plot of the movie. However, it is just an excuse for the actual gameplay. During the game the player assumes the role of one of the members of the titular Suicide Squad, a secret task force consisting of supervillains forced into submission.

A collection of seven mini-games designed specifically for VR goggles. The player is taken to the titular funhouse, which is filled with different amusements. The game offers a shooting range (firearms and bows), challenges for fans of boxing (hitting objects with fists), or competitions based on fencing (the player's goal is to hit balloons filled with confetti). What's more, the game features a mode which requires the player to shoot clowns using pistols loaded with sticky, green liquid.

MilitAnt takes place in a fantasy world inspired by such movies as Ant Z and A Bug’s Life. However, the title was developed for older players. The main protagonist is an ant who protects its home from an invasion of merciless termites that attack the ant colony in search for precious crystals - an irreplaceable energy source.

The players assume the roles of citizens wishing to take stand against the technocratic dictatorship as they leave their homes to give voice to their disapproval. The player begins having only a small group of demonstrators.

The action of Kill Strain takes place on the icy tundra where various factions fight for valuable energy sources. Three rivaling teams face each other, two of which are five-member mercenary groups, while the third one is a duo of mutants with incredible abilities.
Arma III: Apex

The main component of the expansion is a completely new map, encompassing a Pacific archipelago Tanoa, with an area of 100 square kilometers. Along with the map, we receive a new cooperative campaign, which revolves around the theme of armed conflicts in the near future.
Critical Ops

You play as a man who's trying to stop the ongoing apocalypse and close the portal. Apart from the VR headgear, the game also utilizes motion controllers, which are used to shoot and interact with the environment.

The things that count in Carmageddon include not only your score, but also the damage you inflicted, and the number of pedestrians you ran over. RWBY: Grimm Eclipse

Furi

A dynamic action game developed by French studio The Game Bakers. The title has a combat system based on Japanese hack-and-slash games. Furi takes place in an original fantasy realm and the player assumes the role of a warrior who tries to escape from a gigantic prison. Many guards are standing on his way and he must defeat them in order to obtain the keys to his freedom. The gameplay is focused on combat with the use of melee weapons and guns.
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens
