Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

The plot of ICEY follows the titular heroine, led by the mysterious narrator, during her travels through a fictional, enemy-ridden world. When it comes to mechanics, the game is a classic fighting game, with a complex combo system and RPG elements.

A sequel to the two-dimensional action game with logic features created in 2013 by Swedish studio Ludosity Interactive. Ittle Dew 2 presents further adventures of the titular female protagonist and her companion Tippsi. The two crashed on another unknown island filled with mysteries and weird creatures. By using a magic map the pair of heroes will have to find six pieces of a raft which will allow them to leave the island.

A sequel to Watch Dogs, a sandbox action game from 2014, in which the players assume the role of a former criminal and use his hacking skills as well as a number of gadgets to control the city infrastructure as well as private communication devices. Watch Dogs 2 develops the key gameplay elements of its predecessor; the action, however, was moved to an entirely new city, and now takes place in San Francisco.
Dishonored 2

A sequel to a best-selling FPP stealth game set in a universe that combines stylistics of the late Victorian era with steampunk elements. The title is a result of cooperation between Arkane Studios and the game’s publisher – Bethesda company. The sequel’s main heroine is Emily Kadwin, the daughter of the murdered empress, who joins forces with the empress’ former bodyguard Corvo, the protagonist of the previous game.

The action of Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star takes place after events from Fate/EXTRA. As the previous war comes to an end, the supercomputer Moon Cell Automaton takes over the world and sends the players to a digital kingdom known as SE.RA.PH., where they have to fight one more battle for freedom.
Monster Hunter: Frontier Z

Monster Hunter Frontier Z is another version of the Japanese MMORPG released in 2007 for PC. The game takes the players to a fantasy world where they are given the task of hunting down monsters. Each of the players controls their own, self-made hero. They can choose from a dozen or so classes (every class uses different equipment and has different combat style and tactics). Combat is turn-based. We can use cold steel and ranged weapons while on the hunt.
Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers

You can play as six characters, each of them using distinct attack techniques and abilities.

Zombie Playground

A co-op-oriented action game created by an independent developer known as Massive Black. The plot here focuses on zombies invading one of American primary schools. The students decide to re-capture the building using the available weapons. The player's goal in Zombie Playground is to eliminate subsequent waves of zombies - not only strict cooperation (4 players at max) is required for success, however, but also being able to develop effective tactics and make the best of one's equipment.
Titanfall 2

In contrast to the first installment, Titanfall 2 offers a single player campaign in which you assume the role of a resistance rifleman with the ambition of becoming a pilot. His chance comes as the owner of an Argus class Titan dies during his mission and the stranded machine chooses the protagonist as its new pilot.

The plot of the game rather faithfully recreates the events known from the comic and the movies based on it. We assume the role of Harumichi Bouya, who is transferred to an infamous high-school - the Suzuran All-Boys, infested by a gang of young bandits.

The title adapts the popular Japanese comic series Berserk, set in a grim dark fantasy realm filled with wars, demons and villainy, drawing inspiration from European Middle Ages. The main protagonist of the series is a warrior named Guts, initially a mercenary he was later forced to declare war on the demonic forces pulling the strings of this dark world.
River City: Rival Showdown

A new installment in the Kunio-kun series of classic beat ’em up games developed by Arc System Works. Once again, the player assumes the role of Kunio. He is tasked with finding Riki's missing girlfriend and solving the mystery related to the thugs that attacked him. While playing River City: Rival Showdown, the player is constantly moving to the right and fighting legions of enemies. In the battles the player uses fists, legs and acquired weapons to attack the enemies.
Big Buck Hunter Arcade

An arcade first-person rail shooter developed by GameMill Entertainment. The players move automatically through a 3D environment, searching for animals and hunting them. Big Buck Hunter Arcade allows us to assume the role of a hunter who visits 30 varied hunting locations with 20 different species of animals, from small rodents, through bats or ducks, and up to large game such as moose or bears. Our actions are monitored on the fly by a special system that awards points and special badges.
Kyurinaga's Revenge

A two-dimensional platformer game set in an alternative version of feudal Japan. Developed by RECOtechnology (a Spanish team), the game brings a continuation to a third-person action-adventure title known as Yasai Ninja. Kyurinaga's Revenge follows the subsequent adventures of the two vegetable-like characters - an onion-samurai Kaoru Tamanegi and a street fighter called Broccoli Joe. They both set out for a dangerous adventure aiming to face an evil shogun and his allies.
