Monster Hunter Frontier Z is another version of the Japanese MMORPG released in 2007 for PC. The game takes the players to a fantasy world where they are given the task of hunting down monsters. Each of the players controls their own, self-made hero. They can choose from a dozen or so classes (every class uses different equipment and has different combat style and tactics). Combat is turn-based.

Monster Hunter: Frontier Z for PS4 is another version of Capcom’s popular MMORPG. Originally, the game was released in 2007. Six years later it was ported to other platforms as Monster Hunter Frontier G. The Z version is the fullest and most polished version of the game so far.

Mechanics

Just like other games of the series, Monster Hunter: Frontier Z for PS4 takes the players to a fantasy world where they have to hunt down monsters. We begin with the creation of our character. There are a dozen or so available classes. Our choice determine’s their weapons and combat style. We can use cold steel and long-range (bows, firearms) weapons. The game’s real-time combat system heavily relies on players’ reflexes. The only way to gain advantage on the battlefield is to have more powerful equipment. We will also have to think of appropriate tactics for specific species of monsters. We can buy our equipment or craft it using the ingredients we gather during our adventures (pieces of monsters’ bodies, materials, etc.).
