Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Description
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare for PC, PS4 and XONE is another installment in the Call of Duty series. This time, the game was developed by the franchise's fathers from the Infinity Ward studio. For the first time, the developer was able to work on the game for three years (previous installments created by the same studio were released every two years). The game was officially confirmed on May 2, 2016, along with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Plot
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare for PC, PS4 and XONE takes the player to a completely new game world, introducing them to a set of new characters as well. Particular countries created the United Nations Space Alliance in order to begin conquering the Solar system together. Unfortunately, part of humanity is against international cooperation - they create the Settlement Defense Front, an organization that starts a huge war against the UNSA. The player assumes the role of Captain Reyes - a pilot serving in Tier 1 Special Operations. The protagonist becomes the leader onboard Retribution - a powerful warship. Along with his crew, he has to stop the SDF forces.
Mechanics
Apart from the new game world, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare for PC, PS4 and XONE introduces different changes to the gameplay itself. Obviously, the game retains the formula of a spectacular first person shooter, but apart from running and shooting as usual, the player is put in control of a Jackal fighter plane to participate in fierce, aerial battles. The Retribution warship is the player's base of operations - the player selects subsequent story missions or sets out for raids against the enemy. Significantly, the game was designed in such a way, that the player is capable of switching from one gameplay component to another fluently, without having to wait through loading screens too often.
Game modes
The story campaign is not everything the game has to offer. Apart from that, the game features both multiplayer and Zombie modes. The latter constitutes a separate kind of experience, with its own storyline and unique gameplay elements.
