Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Continuum Description
Continuum is the second pack of additional content for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, a first person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and released on PC, PS4 and XONE in November 2016 by Activision Blizzard. The DLC is part of the season pass and it traditionally contains four multiplayer maps and another chapter of the cooperation zombie mini campaign.
Plot
The new chapter of the zombie campaign is called Shaolin Shuffle and it enables the players to assume the role of four characters trapped on the movie set by a crazy director Willard Wyler (played by Paul Reubens). This time the battle with hordes of animated corpses take place in New York during the seventies’. The area is filled with references to disco subculture and neon night clubs. Shaolin Sister is a mentor for the protagonists. She is played by Pam Grier. She can teach the players four kung fu techniques that are very effective against the zombies.
Mechanics
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Continuum for PC, PS4 and XONE doesn’t offer novelties in gameplay mechanics (except for the above mention kung fu combat styles). Instead, it focuses on additional content. The DLC introduces four new multiplayer modes created both for the snipers and for fans of melee combat. The first one is Turista, a spa resort inside a giant skeleton of an ancient creature. The map called Scrap takes the players to an abandoned junkyard on the moon. Archive contains a futuristic art gallery and its courtyard. Excess is a modified version of the liked and small map Rust from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. However, this time it doesn’t take place on a garbage dump, but on the top of a luxury apartment building in the future.
