Arma III: Apex PC

Arma III Apex is a first major DLC add-on for Arma III, released for PC in 2013, third installment of a popular series of military simulators from Bohemia Interactive. The described expansion introduces completely new content to the game, as well as a number of important technical changes.

Mechanics

The main component of Arma III Apex is a completely new map, introducing a huge location – Pacific archipelago of Tanoa, an area of 100 square kilometers. Along with it, we receive a new campaign, designed for the cooperative play, which revolves around the theme of armed conflicts in the near future. The new additions are complemented by previously unavailable weapons and vehicles, including somewhat more futuristic equipment, such as light combat vehicles, and VTOLs – vertical takeoff planes.

Technical aspects

On top of that, Arma III: Apex comes together with a massive game update, also available for free for everyone who doesn’t own the add-on. Among overhauled elements, the most prominent is graphics, thanks to the improvement of such elements as lighting or shading of the objects. Aside from that, the update rebuilds the game’s interface, and introduces a number of improvements in mechanics (especially the multiplayer part), at the same time laying the foundation for further development of the game – both in terms of official content, as well as the one created by the players.
