This following page contains the hardware requirements of Fallout 76. The following information will help you determine whether your computer can handle the post-apocalyptic fun. In addition to the minimum and recommended requirements, we have included here the hardware specifications on which we created the guide and described whether the production worked well on it. In addition, we have raised the issue of visual settings available in Fallout 76 and game drivers. Our hardware

The guide was created using the PC version, on the following hardware specs:

1. CPU: Intel Core i5 8600K (3.6 GHz)
2. GPU: GeForce GTX 1080
3. RAM: 16 GB RAM
4. OS: 64-bit Windows 10

The above configuration allows for comfortable gameplay in Full HD (1920x1080) and the highest visual settings (ultra). The title retained constant 60 FPS throughout the game, but when discovering some locations, there were sudden FPS drops that lasted about two seconds.

Fallout 76 and Nvidia

If you own a GeForce RTX or GeForce 900 series Nvidia card, you may be interested in drivers called Game Ready. Nvidia assures that having latest drivers makes Fallout 76 more efficient and stable. How to run Fallout 76 in 60 FPS?

Meeting the recommended settings should allow you to run Fallout 76 in 60 FPS - a thing worth mentioning is the fact that it is the maximum amount of frames per second, as the developers locked higher values. However, what can you do when the system does not meet the recommended requirements? You need to lower the graphics options and decrease the visuals of the game - all of the said options can be found in the settings, under the "Screen" tab. The following list contains settings that you should change to increase the amount of FPS:

1. Actor Fade and Object Fade - those two options change the distance from which objects and characters can be seen. The lower the value of those two, the higher FPS increase you will get, but in return characters and objects will fade out of your screen faster.
2. Grass Fade - an option similar to the two previous ones, with the only difference being the fact that it affects the grass. It has a large impact on the FPS count, but lowering it too much can lead to a situation in which the grass will literally appear in front of your character - and this can ruin your experience.
3. Item Fade - the last option from the visibility tab. It has the lowest impact on the amount of FPS you gain, but it is also the least noticeable one as well - you might even not notice the items (ammo, weapons, food and so on) appearing slower before your character. It is worth lowering it as much as possible to get more from the Grass Fade.
4. Texture, water, lighting and shadow quality - four options with a significant impact on the amount of FPS. Lowering all of them will give you the highest increase, but if you can increase some of them, we suggest doing so with shadows and lighting - the game looks better with low texture and water quality and medium shadow and lighting quality than vice versa.
