How to get ammunition in Fallout 76? Fallout 76 Guide, Walkthrough
Last update: 17 December 2018
It's hard to imagine playing Fallout 76 without the ammunition. Even if you prefer melee weapons, sometimes guns or rifles are useful to weaken the enemy or kill a few opponents from a distance. And if you'll use firearms frequently, you can easily run out ammo. This is why this page answers the question how to get ammunition in Fallout 76.
Ammunition in the game world
The easiest and most natural way to get ammunition is to explore the world. Ammo can be found everywhere - you'll find at least a few bullets in bigger locations. Chest, lockers or shelves often contain packs of ammo, so thoroughly search the location you're in. Remember to loot the ammunition from killed enemies which use firearms - you'll probably get a couple of bullets.
Additionally, you can buy the ammunition from robots or ammo vending machines. One of the places where you can find is a train station.
Crafting ammunition
Sometimes the amount of ammunition you'll gather during the exploration isn't enough. If that's the case, you can always make the ammo yourself - just use a workbench (you can find one in Flatwoods). To make most types of ammunition you'll need Gunpowder, Lead, and Steel. Gunpowder can be obtained after killing and looting Super Mutants. To get lead and steel you can, for example, scrap weapons.
