F1 Manager 2022: Qualifying Sprints - Are They In The Game? F1 Manager 2022 guide, tips
On this page of the guide to F1 Manager 2022 we clarify whether there is an in-game qualifying sprint format in the GP of Emilia Romagna, Austria and Sao Paulo.
Last update: 20 September 2022
F1 Manager 2022 tries to reproduce the reality and rules of Formula 1 as faithfully as possible, although you may be interested in whether the game includes qualifying sprints - this is an alternative format for the racing weekend, in which sprint replaces the classic qualifiers. On this page of the guide, we discuss whether sprints are available.
As a reminder , qualifying sprints debuted in Formula 1 in the 2021 season . Their main idea is to offer an additional race within a given GP weekend - the qualifying sprint replaces the usual qualifying and the results obtained in it affect the starting line for the main race. Sprints are also scored separately, although the number of points received is of course much smaller than the Sunday race.
In the real 2022 Formula 1 season, sprints returned with minor changes (including different scoring). They are scheduled to be played as part of the Emilia Romagna GP (Imola track), the Austrian GP (Red Bull Ring track) and the Sao Paulo GP (Interlagos track).
Unfortunately, in F1 Manager 2022 , qualifying sprints are not included at all and do not appear . The Grand Prix weekends listed above offer the standard race weekend format, ie 3 practice sessions, "normal" qualifying and the main race. At the moment, there is no information on any plans to add sprints to the game as part of the update. Perhaps they will only appear in one of the next editions of the game.
