Planning racing strategies and managing the team in detail inF1 Manager 2022takes a lot of playhours. On this page of the guide you'll find information regarding the length of the game - we explain exactly how much time you need to get through an average F1 season.
Playing a F1 season
In F1 Manager 2022, there are many things that require your time and attention. Among them, the most time-consuming are racing weekends, as they take the same amount of time as real ones. This means, for example, that a single training session can take 60 or 90 minutes, and the completion of a single race can take up to 120 minutes.
There are also many things to do between races - you must, among others read e-mails, deal with the development and maintenance of cars, look for new employees, expand the team's facilities or create strategies for the next race weekends. Many important decisions have to be made personally and you cannot delegate responsibilities to AI-controlled managers.
It should take you about 30-40 hours in the game to complete a single F1 season .This estimate assumes that you will speed up the less important moments of the racing sessions (we describe it in the next section). A lot also depends on how much you intend to engage in certain things, as training sessions and even qualfiers can be simulated.
Getting the platinum trophy in F1 Manager 2022 should be possible around the middle of the second season . Some actions cannot be completed during a single season. Moreover, to have an easier time unlocking the platinum trophy, you should choose one of the leading F1 teams - more on this topic can be found in our trophy guide.
Fast-forwarding - is it available?
In F1 Manager 2022, you cannot shorten the race distance e.g. run race weekends with 25% or 50% of real distance. Fortunately, there is a fast-forwarding option for you to use. Its most important features are:
- if you want to keep the 3D view, the maximum fast-forward value is 2x;
- you can fast-forward by up to 16x, but only in 2D view (isometric view with dots symbolizing the cars)
We advise you to use this option to speed up the boring moments of the session, i.e. when you do not have to make any important decisions. However, do not overdo it with this mechanic, so as not to miss, for example, a perfect moment for a pitstop. This mechanic is discussed in more detail on a separate page Race length - can it be changed? .
