We'll understand if the prospect of a game in which you play as small, aggressive animals and fight against critters 10 times bigger than them doesn't seem particularly tempting to you, but Biomutant has that something and it has been tempting us with its very dynamic gameplay videos for several years now. In fact, is development cycle is quite complicated, because we should already have it on our shelves at home, but the creators want to make their product even more sophisticated, even though it looks really good as it is.

The advertising materials draw attention with designer's courage - because we are dealing with a truly diverse world, combining the vibes of lush jungles, comic book-like kung fu and oriental steampunk, and all this in post-apocalyptic sauce. The aforementioned critters, bigger and smaller, are mixed with robots, and fictional realms are not only waiting for someone to explore them thoroughly, but also to write their own story based on them.

The devs decided on an unusual narration method, to say the least. The player only gets information that there exists a Tree of Life with five roots, as well as 6 tribes to exterminate or form an alliance with. It is up to us to choose the path, because the branching system implemented in Biomutant will adapt to any our decision or action. On paper it sounds really great, but the true attractiveness of this game element is yet to be seen.

His adventure with journalism began with a personal blog, the name of which is no longer worth quoting. Then he interpreted Iranian dramas and the Joker, writing for cinematography journal, which, sadly, no longer exists. His writing credentials include a degree in film studies, but his thesis was strictly devoted to video games. He has been writing for Gamepressure since March 2020, first writing a lot about movies, then in the newsroom, and eventually, he became a specialist in everything. He currently edits and writes articles and features. A long-time enthusiast of the most bizarre indie games and arthouse cinema. He idolizes surrealism and postmodernism. He appreciates the power of absurdity. Which is probably why he also tried soccer refereeing for 2 years (with so-so results). He tends to over-philosophize, so watch out.
