Japanese RPGs have been occupying a very specific niche on the market for years. There is a group of enthusiasts who devote themselves to them endlessly, but most players tend to steer clear of them because of the specific gameplay, atmosphere and all the connotations with the Far Eastern art of video game development. However, it is difficult to just ignore an IP such as Final Fantasy , because this is probably the best-received jRPG series in the rest of the world. And it has its great fans in our editorial office too.
Sixteenth installment of a video game series - you don't hear that very often. And there are in fact many, many more of them. But don't get carried away by superficial thinking, because Final Fantasy hasn't suddenly become a cheap soap opera. Recent years have breathed new life into this fantasy world (or rather universe), all thanks to the impressive size of the fifteenth installment, as well as the remake of the iconic seventh game (or rather a fragment of it). More dynamic and spectacular combat, large open maps, and a plot with twists and turns that Naughty Dog itself could envy.
FF XVI will not hesitate to use all of the aforementioned tricks, although they will certainly return in an even better edition. The game will use a heavily tuned version of the engine used to power the fifteenth installment, so PS5 owners can expect a record number of particle effects on their screen. I wonder what the duo Naoki Yoshida - Hiroshi Taka has prepared for us, because this time we will move to Valisthea, a realm divided into 6 kingdoms and attacked an unexpected Plague.
