There's quite a number of these games set in the world of Harry Potter - mainly because each film in the series got its own video game own adaptation, because who wouldn't want to feel the thrill of learning in a school of magic. However, if it were not for the fairly coherent story based on J.K. Rowling's prose, each of these titles could have been seen as a separate experiment. And that's because at one time we get an arcade game for children, another time a walking simulator with a few mini-games, not to mention the disastrous attempt to implement FPS-like shooting mechanics in the case of Deathly Hollows (both first and second part).

That's why everyone has their favorite and hated game from the aforementioned series, but none of them has probably fulfilled the fan's dream of becoming a full-time young sorcerer in a credible fantasy world. Admittedly, Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince enabled us to partially explore Hogwarts, thus giving us at least a glimpse of a feeling of being in the fictional academy, but some limitations were visible at first glance. However, all Potterheads can revive their dreams and fantasies, because Avalanche Software finally came up with an idea that someone should have come up with a long time ago. We are talking about a thoroughbred RPG that makes full use of this highly popular franchise.

Hogwarts Legacy came out of the left field, but it immediately stirred the imagination of Internet users. As soon as they saw the colorful, extremely vivid trailer, they realized that an epic adventure set in a huge, open world of magic awaits them. And you know, the exploration is the main course here, because we can't wait to get out of Hogwarts just to explore the surrounding caves and forests in search of griffins.However, we should also expect series of duties to be fulfilled, because we will play the role of one of Hogwarts' students, so we will have to attend all kinds of classes (those willing to do so, will also have the option to join a quidditch team).

The creators have a really difficult task ahead of them, because Harry Potter's world has some serious potential and it is probably impossible to make full use of it - even in a Genre like RPG. However, if they manage to please their fans at least in 50%, we will be able to talk about one of the biggest big surprises of the coming year.
