Deep Rock Galactic: Mining Expeditions, Main mission objective
This page of the guide to Deep Rock Galactic explains how to complete the main objective of the Mining Expeditions mission.
Mining Expeditions is one of the types of missions available in the Deep Rock Galactic. Mining missions are unlocked from the start for each player and are perfect solution for training new miners. They always take place in vast caves combined by multiple corridors and are associated with the extraction of a certain amount of raw material called Morkite. Morkite is only available in caves intended for mining missions, so it will not be found during other tasks.
Morkite is a very distinctive raw material and it glows in the dark so it cannot be missed even in complete darkness. If you're having trouble recognizing the raw material, you can always use a scanner that will identify it flawlessly. In addition to Morkite, in caves associated with mining missions, the player will find large deposits of Gold and Nitra raw material that is needed to summon supplies.
Once Morkite's raw material has been collected, it must be deposited in the M.U.L.E. robot to make progress in the mission. Raw materials kept in a miner's backpack are not counted for the progress of the mission.
The amount of Morkite that needs to be collected varies depending on the length of the mission and its difficulty and is as follows:
Cave length | Difficulty | Amount of Morkite to collect |
200 pieces of Morkite | ||
225 pieces of Morkite | ||
250 pieces of Morkite | ||
325 or 400 pieces of Morkite |
