This chapter of the Deep Rock Galactic guide has all the information about an Alien Egg - where to find it, how to identify, and what it can be used for.
Alien Egg is an additional resource that is necessary to complete an Egg Hunt mission. It appears only in these missions. Alien Eggs are very distinctive - they have a yellow-green color and are wrapped with pink organic veins.
Alien eggs are very large and heavy so the miner has to carry them himself and place in a deposit. During transportation, the player cannot perform any additional actions (shoot, use a pickaxe, etc.) - this will cause the egg to fall on the ground.
How to find an Alien Egg?
Once the Egg Hunt mission begins, try to locate the eggs using the scanner (Tab key). The eggs are perfectly visible here and appear as small red dots. With information about the location of Alien Eggs, you will have an easier time planning an exploration of the underground complex.
Alien Eggs are not visible at first glance. They are very well hidden deep in organic matter and must be extracted from there using a pickaxe or Driller's drilling tools. The organic matter that protects the eggs is very susceptible to damage and can be destroyed with just one hit.
Note! The extraction of the egg is accompanied by an earthquake and a very loud scream of the aliens, which will alert the nearby creatures. The enemies will immediately rush to the area and launch an assault.
