Deep Rock Galactic: Scout - main weapon Deep Rock Galactic guide, tips

This page of the Deep Rock Galactic guide is dedicated to the Scout's main weapons.

Last update: 16 January 2022

Scout's primary main weapon is the Deepcore GK2. However, after reaching level 10 he also gets access to an alternative main weapon, the M1000 Classic. The first one is an assault rifle and is excellent for combat at any distance. The M1000 Classic is a semi-automatic rifle with an alternative firing mode that inflicts massive damage on a single target and fires accurately like a laser weapon. After reaching level 20, you can unlock a new main weapon (via Assignment Mission) - DRAK-25 Plasma Carbine.

Deepcore GK2

The Deepcore GK2 is a very good assault rifle with a quick fire rate and high damage, a lot of ammunition, as well as decent accuracy. What's very important is that Deepcore GK2 works very well even during movement so it's a great weapon for beginner players.

Also, it is worth noting that by firing a Deepcore GK2 assault rifle at vulnerable alien spots, the player has a small chance of stunning the target - Deep Rock Galactic: Scout - main weapon - Scout - Deep Rock Galactic Guide

Also, it is worth noting that by firing a Deepcore GK2 assault rifle at vulnerable alien spots, the player has a small chance of stunning the target. It is perfectly suited to fight any opponent and at any distance possible.

Recommended Deepcore GK2 modifications:

  1. Tier 1 - Supercharged Feed Mechanism;
  2. Tier 2 - Increased Caliber Rounds;
  3. Tier 3 - Improved Propellant;
  4. Tier 4 - Hollow-Point Bullets;
  5. Tier 5 - Stun.

M1000 Classic

After reaching level 10, Scout can unlock an alternative main weapon, which is the M1000 Classic. It's a semi-automatic rifle which means it can shoot as fast as the button responsible for firing is pressed. Bullets fired from the M1000 Classic inflict very heavy damage. However, the weapon has a very high recoil. It should also be mentioned that the M1000 classic rifle has an alternative firing mode, which allows it to fire an extremely accurate shot, which is capable of inflicting tremendous damage (especially when it hits a vulnerable spot of your opponent). In order to use Focus mode, hold the shot button for longer, but bear in mind that in this mode the weapon consumes two rounds per shot.

If you want to achieve the best possible accuracy while using the M1000 Classic weapon, shots should be fired from a particular spot, when you are not moving around. The weapon loses its accuracy significantly when you fire longer series.

Recommended modifications for M1000 Classic:

  1. Tier 1 - Increased Caliber Rounds;
  2. Tier 2 - Fast-Charging Coils;
  3. Tier 3 - Killer Focus;
  4. Tier 4 - Hollow-Point Bullets;
  5. Tier 5 - Killing Machine.

Recommended M1000 Classic Overclocks:

  1. Clean - Minimal Clips.

DRAK-25 Plasma Carbine

This weapon increases its heat with each projectile shot - you can check it on the weapon's display. When the weapon's heat reaches 100%, you will have to cool the rifle down before using it again.
