Deep Rock Galactic: Mining Expeditions, Finishing the mission and evacuation Deep Rock Galactic guide, tips
This page of the Deep Rock Galactic guide explains how to complete the last step of Mining Expeditions, the evacuation.
Last update: 18 January 2022
After collecting a certain amount of main raw material such as Morkite, the player can immediately complete the mission and proceed to the evacuation process, or postpone this decision and try to complete a side task to gain even more credits.
To complete a mission in Deep Rock Galactic, press the red button on the M. U. L. E robot. After a short while, the robot will load the coordinates of the evacuation vehicle and start walking towards it, leaving light signs along the way. The player has exactly 5 minutes to evacuate from the cave so it's worth rushing.
In mining missions, the escape vehicle usually lands at a very large distance from the player and this distance varies from 100 to even 200 meters. In the picture presented above, you can see the white contours of the M. U. L. E. robot, which is heading for the evacuation site, and the metal light bars that it uses to mark its path.
The path the M.U.L.E. robot chooses is not always the best way to evacuate. It's worth remembering that the robot can move through the walls and ceilings of the cave, so if one of the aliens has hollowed out a tunnel in the ceiling, M.U.L.E. will not hesitate to use it to shorten the path to the evacuation vehicle. If you don't have the appropriate tools, such as ropes and platforms, you will not be able to follow the robot and have to rely solely on your own navigation skills.
Once you reach the evacuation vehicle, all you have to do is enter it to complete the mission. Importantly, the vehicle door will not open until the M.U.L.E. robot returns to its docking spot. If you can get there faster, you'll have to wait.
Successful completion of the mission, that is, evacuation from the cave, is a necessary condition to complete the task and receive the reward. If you fail to reach the vehicle in time, the mission will become a total failure.
