Unexpected Allies, Ulf Ironbeard - Viking Walkthrough Ancestors Legacy Guide and Walkthrough

This chapter contains walkthrough for Ulf Ironbeard's third campaign mission in Ancestors Legacy called "Unexpected Allies".

Difficulty level of this mission: 3/10

The mission opens with an attack on a caravan. Wait for the allies to charge and then send your troops to battle.

Head to the highlighted point on the east. Replenish troops and recruit one more squad of spearmen. Head east - you will be attacked by a few hostile squads. Be careful and fall back if you have to - thanks to that you can save your weakened forces.

Replenish your squads once the battle ends. Go to the camp on the east. Capture it and move to another settlement. Defeat enemies and capture another village. Click on the townhalls in both villages to recruit workers.

Stay vigilant - enemies will attack you. Defeat them and then replenish your troops. Enemy barracks are west from the village - destroy them to slow the enemies down.

Recruit a few squads and then head towards the yellow dot on the map. You come across a bridge - crossing it is too dangerous. Go west and regroup with a squad of allied archers (green dots on the map). Join them to your army - their ranged attacks will soon come in handy.

Go back on the bridge and use the archers to lure enemies out. You can also place a few traps with spikes. Destroy the watchtower and move the battlefield to the other side of the bridge.

Burn the barracks and move forward. Enter the quarry and capture the village where iron can be excavated. Replenish your troops and upgrade a few squads (spend iron to get better armors).

Go to the last hostile village. A few traps await you in the canyon - destroy them (use defensive formation to detect them).

The final battle awaits - the enemy has a lot of units so try to, e.g. make a good use of your archers. If you need, you can send more troops on the battlefield. Burn the key structures to complete the mission.
