This chapter contains the description of Ancestors Legacy's interface.

- Minimap - Displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen. Depending on a mission you can start, e.g. with a completely revealed map where you can see settlements that can be captured (they are marked with letters). Yellow markers are for your currently active objectives.
- Squads - In Ancestors Legacy you can control up to 10 squads (with varying numbers of warriors in them). Here, you can quickly switch between them. When you notice that a squad is seriously wounded, you can quickly choose it and order those warriors to retreat. Locked slots indicate that you don't have enough tents to recruit more units.
- Unit - They have an icon displayed above them along with their health bar and morale. Once upgraded (by purchasing armor), they receive a silver lining around their icon. Second upgrade turns that lining into golden one.
- Resources - Here, you can see information about your supplies of wood, food and iron. Also, this is where your population limit is displayed. A plus icon next to a resource informs you how much of it is being produces, e.g. wood per minute.
- Squad's actions - Here, you can find all available actions that can be done by a selected squad. Besides classic attack or movement orders, you can also, e.g. order squads to fall back or to dig up a trap.
- Quick access icons - You can switch between the most important options such as building structures, recruiting units or developing new technologies.
- Time - Displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. It informs you how much time have passed in your current mission or skirmish.
