Brotherly Help, Rurik - Viking Walkthrough Ancestors Legacy Guide and Walkthrough

This chapter contains walkthrough for Rurik's first campaign mission in Ancestors Legacy called "Brotherly Help". Rurik's missions are more difficult and time-consuming than Ulf's.

Difficulty level of this mission: 6/10

1. Select Vidar and go left. Enter the camp unnoticed.
2. Enemies will soon arrive - go left and hide. Vidar is an intruder which means that enemies will start attacking him on sight. However, you can move the spearmen squad and the second hero, Pridbor.
3. Do the following thing - check the map and head with Pridbor to collect all resources (icons depicting wood, iron etc.). This will help you greatly at the end of this mission.

1. Move your spearmen to the north while Pridbor is busy with collecting resources. These units can serve you as scouts - move Vidar from one bush to another once the area is safe.

1. You finally reach the river - move right and go along its shore. Defeat a lone enemy squad. Regenerate your health and wait until you become neutral again.

1. Go to the village and kill the guards (spearmen). Replenish your health and defeat the remaining defenders of the settlement. You get access to barracks - start recruiting shieldbearers.

1. Your new objective is to defend this settlement until morning - this is a rather difficult thing to do. Fully upgrade two squads of shieldbearers. Then, you have to place them in the gate and set defensive formation. Enemies can't go around them, and these units can defend themselves for a long time.
2. Switch shieldbearers if you have to - order wounded warriors to retreat (regenerate their health and get new troops to fill up for the fallen ones) and place other shieldbearers where the wounded ones stood.

1. In the meantime, order other squads to dig traps near the southern gate. It will open soon. You should have a few squads that aren't doing anything - order them to wait in the south (in the gate). Order them to use defensive formation.
2. Withstand the onslaught - retreat wounded squads and keep an eye on your heroes' health bars. Allied forces should arrive around 25 minutes mark. Survive in order to complete the mission.
