Battle on Two Fronts. Rurik - Viking Walkthrough Ancestors Legacy Guide and Walkthrough

This chapter contains walkthrough for Rurik's fourth campaign mission in Ancestors Legacy called "Battle on Two Fronts".

Difficulty level of this mission: 10!/10

This is one of the most difficult and frustrating missions in the game. Truvor now controls your units. Your task is to take care of economy. Your "ally" keeps attacking other villages and he constantly demands new units. If you don't do that, he will take control over your units and send them into battle. Also, during sieges he only destroys enemy houses. It is up to your units to capture their townhalls.

As you can see, everything is against you. Start the mission by following Truvor. Capture the first village. During my game the enemy owned the village A located in the center of the map.

Send workers to gather resources and fully upgrade one of your squads. Create one weak squad of spearmen for Truvor.

Keep defending the village, excess resources should be spent on spearmen - when you are ready, you can send Vidar and your strongest squad to capture another village. Split out Vidar and the squad - the hero should be in one village and the squad should defend another. In the meantime, have at least one squad of spearmen ready for Truvor.

Wait until you gather more resources. After that you should try to recruit 1-2 spearmen squads - order them to capture the village located west from the town (E). From now on everything should be easier - you can use the same squad to capture the village C.

You should now save a little bit of resources and focus on defending your villages. If you have to, you can always raise the alarm - workers will go back to the townhall and defend their village from the enemy. Another thing you also have to remember is to develop new technologies that will boost your economy.

Time to capture the village D, the one that is the closest to the enemy base. From now on the enemy will keep attacking you on a regular basis - villages A, C and D will be attacked very frequently (this can slow down your economy). Defend them. However, this is very difficult to do because your ally will keep taking your units.

I was forced to use the following strategy. The aforementioned villages were working in alarm mode at all times - this has allowed them to defend themselves. In the meantime, Vidar was in the village D with one squad of fully upgraded shieldbearers. I was recruiting weak units for Truvor on a regular basis and I have stored resources for later. Once I got enough of them, I created a huge army all at once - some of the units were taken by the ally and the rest has joined Vidar. Thanks to that I was able to break through the enemy defense.

You can finally capture the enemy base and destroy all of their buildings. Congratulations... This wasn't an easy task but you have managed to complete it.
