How to use camouflage in Wolfenstein Youngblood? Wolfenstein Youngblood Guide, Walkthrough
Last update: 31 July 2019
On this page of our guide to Wolfenstein: Youngblood we explain how to activate the camouflage of the enhanced armor. It can be very helpful to avoid detection, as well as to attack enemies with surprise.
Camouflage can only be activated if you have an active Cloak skill. You can get it in two ways. The first way is to choose this ability when you start a new game.
The second way is to acquire this ability for 5 skill points. It is located in the Power skill tree.
After unlocking this ability, you can turn it on by pressing C key on the PC or lower arrow / direction button on the PS4/XONE game pad. Camouflage has a limited time of action and it's marked by a round belt at the right edge of the screen. You do not have to wait until this bar is completely discharged. You can turn off the camouflage prematurely if you don't need it. The inactive ability will slowly regenerate.
By default, camouflage allows you to sneak around in a crouched position and exhausts quickly, but there are three upgrades available:
- Agile Cloaking (you must be at least level 10) - This is a great improvement that allows you to move around in any way you want, not just in a crouched position. This makes it much easier for you to avoid dangerous areas or get closer to the enemies you're about to kill.
- Effective Cloak (you must be at least level 20) - Camouflage lasts longer. Consider making this purchase if you use it frequently.
- Parking Cloak (you must be at least 30 levels) - Camouflage does not consume energy when the controlled character is standing still. It also loads faster. The first of these bonuses is not very useful, because you should rely on camouflage while you're in motion (whether to move away from your enemies or to surprise one of them).
