How to use fast travel in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint? Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint guide, tips

Last update: 17 October 2019

The island on which Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint takes place is huge. Getting from point A to point B can take a very long time, which is further increased by repeatedly encountered groups of enemy soldiers. However, the game offers a fast travel option - read this chapter to learn how to use it.

Unlocking fast travel points and moving between them

To use fast travel, you need to unlock bivouac sites. - How to use fast travel in Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Breakpoint? - FAQ - Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Breakpoint Guide
To use fast travel, you need to unlock bivouac sites.

By default, you can only use fast travel to reach the base in Erewhon and then other resistance bases. However, you can unlock additional fast travel points to move around the map faster. These fast travel points are bivouac sites, that is, places where you can rest, check the store or prepare rations. The camping system was described in detail in the "Bivouac - rest and fast travel" chapter.

First of all, you need to unlock bivouac place. To do this, you have to go to the place from which the smoke rises - this is the place where the bivouac place is located. They are easy to notice even from several hundred meters away. When you approach this place, it will be unlocked and ready to use. Alternatively, you can use binoculars or a drone and find a bivouac site (look at the "?" sign near smoke).

Once you unlock this place, open the world map, move the pointer to the place where you want to move (a bivouac place or one of several rebel hideouts), and then hold the button indicated on the screen. After a few seconds, the character will move to a new location.

Tips

If you want to use the fast travel system, remember about a few things:

  1. You don't need to visit a bivouac spot yourself to unlock it - just use binoculars or a drone and go to the place where the smoke comes out. The bivouac site will be unlocked.
  2. A helicopter is perfect for finding bivouac sites. Get into a helicopter and go to the places from which the smoke comes out - remember to fly low to unlock a site. Thanks to this method, you can unlock all the bivouac spots in the area in just a few minutes.
  3. Use this system with caution. It is free and speeds up the gameplay significantly, but moving between points on foot or by a vehicle will help you to discover many interesting places, encounter many enemies (giving you a chance to get valuable equipment) and find many secrets.
