How to earn experience points quickly in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint? Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint guide, tips
Last update: 17 October 2019
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint has a simple character development system that allows you to unlock new abilities, elements of equipment or simply increase your combat effectiveness. It is worth knowing how to speed up this process - read this section to learn how you can do that.
Gaining experience points faster
Experience points are earned for performing various actions - killing enemy soldiers and destroying vehicles, collecting crafting materials, or completing main, side, and faction missions. This process, however, can be sped up through various mechanics that increase the amount of experience points gained. You have the available options:
- Experience Upgrade skill available from the skill tree. You can't miss this ability because you can unlock it on the 2nd level of the character. This skill is worth unlocking because it gives you a 20% increase in the number of experience points received - this will reduce the time required to level up by 1/5.
- A bonus available in the bivouac menu. When bivouacking - whether in Erewhon or in the wild - you will be able to activate one of the bonuses available in the Preparations tab. Thanks to it, you will get another 10% of extra XP.
- Bonuses received from gear. The character is equipped with five elements of "armor" - each of them (starting with green color items) can have an additional bonus - one of them is a bonus to experience points. In addition, weapons can also get these bonuses - however, the bonus works only while you are using a given weapon.
Thanks to this, you are able to get a permanent 30% bonus (from the skill tree and bivouac) to the experience gained - this reduces the time needed to reach a new level by almost 1/3. Add different bonuses from armor and weapons and you should easily get more than 50% extra XP.
Additional skill point sources
Leveling up is not the only option to gain additional skill points - you can also get them by following these steps:
- Collecting skill points from unique chests. Unique chests, in which you can find gear pieces, blueprints, Skell credits or skill points, are hidden in many the large enemy bases. Their location can be found in the "Maps" section of this guide.
- Leveling up. The game features different character classes - leveling them up (up to level 10) will give you one extra point per level. Detailed information about the mechanics can be found in the "Character development, class challenges" section.
