Enchanting: Quality Has its Price
After completing the preliminary quest Enchanting: Start-up Costs you must obtain resources. Start with finding a pickaxe. It is located in the stable near the mill, close to runewright's workshop (M1,4). Now you must use the tool to gather some jade, the deposit is located in the middle of three marked points (in the cave), north-east from Novigrad (M1,5).
A serious battle awaits you in the cave - 10 Arachmomorf on level 34. Once you deal with them, you can start gathering the resource - jade deposit is located near the middle pillar in the cave. Go back with the jade to the runewright. From now you can trade with him and enchant your items. There are two further upgrades for runewright's tools available, but they are not related with any quests. You can learn more about them in the chapter about runewright.
