When you speak with the woman she will tell you about her concerns. Her husband disappeared without a trace - Lassinia asks you to find information and learn what could have happened to him. First, you must ask his friends from guard if they know something about this. Go to Pale-Pass Fort.

Go to bandits' hideout.

When you get there you must search for Imperial Soldiers and ask them about the missing man. One of them will tell you a certain story. There is a bandits' hideout nearby and it is possible that they are responsible for Iron Heart's disappearing. The guard will point you a new place, Serpent's Trail - go there.

Take Harran's journal.

When you enter the cave you must go forward and when you come across a fork you must turn left. You will find body of the missing man. When you search it you find a journal - read it and take it with you. You learn that the man joined Stormcloacks right before his death. The only thing that is left for you to do is to inform his family about what you learned.

You must choose who and how you want to tell about Harran.

You must make a choice - you can go to Sellus Prelius, give him the journal and he will hide the truth from Lassina about his husband's treason. You also receive a reward - 250 gold. You can also tell her the truth. She appreciates your honesty and gives you 400 gold. Regardless of your choice, the quest is completed.
