On this page of our game guide to Marvel's Avengers, you can find a detailed description of the seventh campaign mission. During this mission you will have an opportunity to explore a new area of Snow-covered Tundra, find some additional equipment, and fight new types of opponents.
While performing the Missing links mission, you will also have an opportunity to complete optional side objectives for which you can get additional resources and equipment. When the Tactical Awareness gets activated, all secondary objectives will be marked with a question mark on the HUD. We will briefly explain the types and objectives of side missions, as well as what can be obtained from them. Also, we will describe in detail the main objective of the mission.
- Resources - a chest with additional resources (sometimes you'll also find a piece of equipment in it), which you can find in the left part of the map on a levitating platform;
- Hunt - an elite AIM unit that can be found while walking towards the main objective of the mission. After eliminating the opponent, you will receive an item of rare quality;
- Chest - a chest with additional equipment, which can be found in the right part of the map;
- Storehouse - fortified facilities in which you can find better quality equipment. To get inside you will have to hit the right points or press a certain number of buttons. When you're in the vicinity of this building, turn on your tactical awareness and you'll immediately know what needs to be done.
As you make progress in this mission in the snowy tundra region, you will encounter enemies that use cryogenic cannons. This means that if you get exposed to the effects of the icy blast for longer, your character will be frozen and immobilised.
Locate the AIM facility and keep the area secured
Kamala Khan and Hulk travel to the Snowy Tundra in order to find a neural link hidden in the bunker. Before you can get to SHIELD bunker, you must first locate and destroy the beacon which blocks the signal that is supposed to lead you to that location. Turn on your tactical awareness and head for the main marker.
Once you get to the main point you have to stand in a marked spot (on the plate) and secure that area.
You should stand in a designated spot in order to let Jarvis carry out his task associated with deactivating the beacon. This task will be further hindered by the incoming AIM troops. Defend yourself and Jarvis. To help yourself a little bit in the battle you can use your Polymorph ability. If necessary, use the heroic support to heal your hero.
Reach SHIELD bunker
Jarvis managed to solve the issue with jamming signal. Your transmitter has finally started working and you can start looking for the bunker's location.
Pay attention to the radar visible in the top left corner of the screen and try to determine the right path. When start walking in the right direction the distance separating you from the target will decrease. The closer you get to your target, the stronger the beeping sound will become.
When you get to the right place, locate the distinctive circular mark on the ground. Once you get close to it, a device will emerge from the ground that can be used to open the bunker. After a short cutscene, the entrance to the SHIELD bunker will open in front of you. Get in the elevator and use it to reach the underground complex.
Investigate SHIELD cache
After entering the bunker, Kamala and Hulk will begin to look for the neural link. Turn left and walk into the tunnel that leads further into the ground.
At the first crossroads, turn right. In a small room, you'll find shipping containers and a glass door that can be smashed by using a heavy attack. Behind the door, that is, in the dark room, you will find as many as three chests filled with equipment.
Continue on, further into the complex, and you will reach a large room with a locked door leading to the safe. Go straight ahead and you'll find a well-hidden chest with resources.
Before you approach the control console, look to the other side of this room - there's another glass doors you can smash. There are some chests behind them.
Once you try to open the door leading to the safe, you will activate SHIELD security system. Fortunately, the check-scan for The Avengers will pass correctly. You will be able to view a message from Nick Fury.
The safe door will open. Inside, you will find up to 4 chests with equipment and a computer that has to be used in order to activate the S. H. I. E. L. D. protocol transmission procedure.
As soon as you activate the data transfer procedure, you'll be attacked by an elite squad of Syntoids. These enemies have a very different weapon than the other units you've encountered so far. Syntoids are equipped with lasers that give them much greater range in combat and cannot be blocked in any way. Minor opponents will also engage in combat. After you defeat all your opponents, the mission will end.
