This page of our guide to Marvel's Avengers has a detailed walkthrough of the nineteenth (and last) campaign mission. You will return to the ruined San Francisco to defeat AIM once and for all. In the final stage of this mission, you face off against the final boss - MODOK.
Follow the warships' signal to find its source
After landing in the main AIM base, the Avengers split up to complete several objectives at once. Natasha and Kamala will try to destroy the main control tower, Tony and Thor will try to destroy as many generators as possible, and Hulk will simply destroy everything in his path.
In the final part of By Force of Mind mission, you will once again play as Captain America. While moving deeper into the location, use gravity launchers to reach the air platforms. Run on walls and perform double jumps to move between multiple platforms.
On your way to the main mission marker, you'll encounter the first AIM soldiers. There are a few regular opponents, a Prime Aegis Synthoid and one Cryotronic Exo - don't get frozen and you will be able to handle this enemy quickly.
When Thor and Tony manage to destroy all the generators, MODOK will realize that his headquarters has been attacked. He will then send special types of Synthoids with a purple glow - they are remotely controlled by the supervillain.
After dealing with the opponents, use the large transmitter to jump on the next platform.
When you land, turn to the right. By the railings, you'll find one silver chest with gear. Follow the Hulk.
He will make a hole in the building that will allow you to get inside. Watch a short cut-scene from which you will learn that MODOK has released the warships, which spray a strange black mist in various corners of the world that is harming all Inhumans.
Captain America is now facing the direction you have to follow. However, before you go any further, go back to the previous room to collect items from the silver chest. Follow the Hulk.
On one of the larger platforms, you'll have to fight more AIM forces. This time, there will be many soldiers with ranged weapons, regular Synthoids and elite units. If your hero's health drops to a dangerously low level, destroy one of the green containers to restore some willpower.
Don't fight all opponents at once, especially when there are too many of them. Lure stronger units out of the crowd and eliminate them one at a time.
After the fight is over, activate the two buttons highlighted in the image above to deactivate the force field blocking access to the fortress. Now you have to wait for Natasha to hack into AIM's systems and let you in.
You now face Assault Adaptoids with Inhumans powers, as well as Stiletto and Adepts Synthoids. Fortunately, the other Avengers will help you fight them. Remember, Captain America has a shield that allows him to block enemy primary attacks and projectiles.
at this stage, the Adaptoids are protected by a fire barrier that must be broken first in order to cause them real damage. What's more, your opponents' fiery ranged attacks do an enormous amount of damage, so prepare for a lot of dodging. Try not to stand next the opponents for too long - you can lose all energy and be unable to use heroic abilities.
The next wave of enemies will feature more elite opponents - three Blitz Dreadbots and purple glowing Adaptoids.
When fighting the robot, focus on destroying two side cannons to weaken its offensive capabilities. This will make it much easier to defeat. After this fight, Natasha manages to open the door but MODOK sends more units into battle. While his team takes on the enemies, Captain America manages to sneak in.
Go to the console on the left and open the equipment chest. Then stand on a transparent platform.
There is a wall on the right side that you can use to reach the other side but it is connected to a high voltage. Throw the shield at the button highlighted in the image above to turn off the voltage and lower one of the corridor segments to proceed.
You reach another big gap that you won't be able to jump over normally. Look to the left and you'll notice the next button. Every now and then there are containers moving in front of it that will cover the target - you have to aim well.
When you throw the shield at the button, you will turn the wall in your direction. Use it to jump over the gap. Take a run, jump on the wall and run over it, then jump again and do a flip. Run a little further and stop before another chasm.
Note that the wall on the left side is electrified and the next floor is really high up. To jump higher you will first have to throw the shield at the two buttons shown in the image above. They are obscured by moving containers so you have to throw the shield at the right moment.
Take a run, jump on the wall, then run a little forward and jump again to grab onto the vertical wall get to the top.
Look to the right and you'll find one silver chest with gear.
Stand on the button in the ground to reveal two buttons on the opposite wall - throw the shield at them. Continue along the metal structure and use the launching pad to break through the glass wall. Keep running and, with the help of another launching pad, fly to the upper floor of the tower.
Here you will face a new opponent - Phase Riotbot. When he uses his phase ability, he becomes untouchable and can teleport. The opponent will soon receive additional support. You will have to deal with a few more AIM soldiers.
The Phase Riotbot is only vulnerable to attacks when it completely materializes and loses its purple glow - avoid enemy attacks and strike at the right moment.
A good way to defeat this opponent is to block and parry its attacks at the perfect time. In this way, you will weaken the Riotbot's defenses and stun the enemy, making it an easy target.
After the fight is over, go to the chasm. Aim and throw the shield at the gas cylinders to cause an explosion.
This way you'll discover two hidden buttons. Activate them, then take a run and, using a flip jump, grab onto the wall on the opposite side and climb to the next floor.
When you get to the next wall, stop for a moment. Smash the bottle cases on the right side to reveal a hidden button - activate it.
Step back a little bit and you'll notice that there is an open door in the wall. You'll find a gold chest in a small room.
When you're at the top, turn to the left and you'll notice an open container that has been suspended on a line away from the platform. Run and do a double jump with a flip to jump in.
There is one silver chest with gear hidden behind the containers with resources. Collect the items and return to the tower.
Throw the shield at the red line hook holding the gas tank in the air.
Now stand on a button protruding from the ground to discover two more buttons - throw the shield at them. Then use the large jumping pad to reach the You'll upper floor.
Here you will face a new enemy type - Adept Adaptoid. The opponent can levitate, as well as throw various iron projectiles, which can spin in such a way that it hits the target hidden behind some obstacle.
Throw the shield at the Adaptoid to make it stop levitating - it will also lose the shield made from iron elements and stop throwing them. Hit the opponent with heavy attacks to stun it and finish off with a takedown.
After the fight, approach the terminal located in the center of the tower to reveal the power cores.
Now all you have to do is smash all three cores to get to the next stage of this mission. Of course, in the course of this task you will be attacked by regular and elite Phase Synthoids as well as Adaptoids. Defeat the opponents first and then destroy the cores.
You can also take a different tactic and run from one point to the next and slowly destroy them all. Attack a few times, and when an opponent gets close to your hero, run to the next core and it him a few times. Once the cores are destroyed, all opponents will disappear.
The final stage of this task is a run through obstacles. Run ahead by jumping on the next elements until you join the rest of the team. Get ready to fight the final boss, MODOK.
Defeat MODOK - the final boss fight
When the Avengers reached the very top of the main AIM building, they encountered MODOK. The fight with this boss will be the longest battle in Marvel's Avengers - it has been divided into 6 phases. During each stage of the fight against MODOK, you will take control of a different Avenger and perform a specific task.

First phase of the fight
In the first phase play as Iron Man, and your task will be to destroy the engines that keep MODOK in the air. MODOK has four engines attached to the bottom of his suit.
Unfortunately, this task will be more difficult than it might seem, as MODOK will continually move around and fire rockets at Tony. Avoid or destroy them with repulsors.
Your best chance of hitting the target is when MODOK stops for a moment to shoot lasers. The crystal on his forehead will then turn purple - you get a few precious seconds to attack.
When the first two engines are destroyed, the opponent will get surrounded by an additional shield that can block Tony's missiles. Hitting the target will become a bit more difficult. Fortunately, individual elements of the shield can be shot down. After all the engines are destroyed, you will proceed to the second phase.
Second phase of the fight
In the second phase you play as Captain America, and your task is to destroy MODOK's terrigen power source.
MODOK will be floating in the air all the time, so aim at the engine at the bottom of his suit and throw the shield at him to knock the boss to the ground.
While you are attacking MODOK's engines, you must also constantly avoid the boss's mechanical arms, which have a really long range.
MODOK's attacks are strongly telegraphed. Pay attention to the red marker above his head and the red outline around his mechanical arm - it is about to fire in the direction of your hero.
When the engine is destroyed, MODOK falls to the ground. You can now attack the power source on his back. Try to deal him as much damage as you can.
After some time, MODOK will fly up again. You have to attack the engine to knock down the opponent and then attack the power source. Repeat these steps about two more times to completely destroy the power source and proceed to the next phase.
Third phase of the fight
You play as Thor, and your task is to fight opponents who will appear on the platform. You have to recharge Bifrost heroic ability.
Pay particular attention to the Adaptoids - they can cause you the most problems. There will also be many other regular enemies around.
Once the Bifrost is charged, use this ability on MODOK to advance to the next phase.
Fourth phase of the fight
In the fourth phase of the fight, you take control of another Avenger, the Hulk. Your task is to fight against numerous enemy troops. Kamala Khan will support you.
Try to make a good use of the Hulk's rage to parry opponents' attacks, increase your defenses, and regenerate lost health.
Pay special attention to Cryo Synthoids, which can immobilize your hero and expose him to attack, as well as to Dreadbots and soldiers in exos.
Later, Adept Adaptoids and a new type of opponent, Cryo Adaptoids, will appear. You have to be especially careful about the attacks of the latter - they can immobilize your hero and expose him to attacks. After the fight is over, you move on to the next phase of the battle.
Fifth phase of the fight
You now fight as Black Widow and your task is to destroy MODOK's crystals. Prepare for a test of your shooting abilities, because you can only rely on a range weapon during this fight.
The opponent will send an attack in your direction that looks a bit like a wave. Jump over it to avoid damage.
Rockets fired by MODOK can be destroyed with a range weapon. They fly quite slowly and leave a visible streak behind them.
MODOK will also fire energy balls that remain on the ground for quite some time. When you step on them, Natasha will get immobilized.
During the fight, you have to aim at the crystal on MODOK's head to damage him. Shooting the armor won't do any damage. If your opponent starts to protect himself with the previously captured Captain America, you'll have to find another shooting position.
When the opponent starts to rotate around the arena, aim slightly ahead of him to hit the target.
Keep fighting until the crystal on MODOK's head is broken. You will proceed to the final phase of this battle.
Sixth phase of the fight
In the final phase of the fight, you will play as Kamala Khan. Your task is to reach Bruce Banner within the time limit and fight the Kree guardian.
As you run towards Bruce, turn into the passage on the left - the correct path is marked with the red element on the ground. If you go right, you will jump into a gap and fail to reach your destination.
After a short while, you'll reach the barrier separating you from your objective. Break it down with an enhanced attack, then eliminate several enemies. Go forward, break another wall, jump onto the platform, and then jump from the protruding metal element to reach Bruce.
The final stage of the fight is a quick time event, during which you will have to press certain buttons at the right time. You can now watch the final cut-scene.
