Once you have mastered the mechanics of your favorite character in Marvel's Avengers, you will certainly focus on getting them better gear to increase their Power levels as well as the key attributes. Fortunately, there is a proven way to get it quickly and find items with higher Power levels.
Higher difficulty can give you better gear
If you want to acquire gear with a higher Power level than the one you currently have, you will have to play at a higher difficulty and fight against stronger opponents. Here's how the difficulty level affects finding objects with a specific Power level:
- Challenge 1 (Easy) - for those who want to quickly complete a given mission and earn a specific prize without any difficulty. Opponents at this difficulty level will be 6 Power points below your hero so you won't find better items here;
- Challenge 2 (Normal) - opponents will have the same Power level as you so the items you find will have the same Power level as your character's current level;
- Challenge 3 (Hard) - opponents are 5 Power level above yours, they will have stronger attack and defense, their attacks will be harder to counter, and some of them will be impossible to counter. At this difficulty level you will find equipment better by at least 5 Power points;
- Challenge 4 (Brutal) - opponents are 10 Power level above yours, they will have a much stronger attack and defense, their attacks will be harder to counter, and some of them will be impossible to counter. At this difficulty level you will find equipment better by at least 10 Power points.
The difficulty level also affects the items you receive after completing the mission, as well as those found in storage and in various types of chests. Don't forget to open them if you find any during the exploration.
How to change the difficulty level?
To change the difficulty level of the chosen mission, simply press the right button (Square on PS4) and go to the "Select Difficulty" option before the game starts. Select the difficulty level and then return to the tactical table to start the game.
