Marvel's Avengers: Gear - how to upgrade? Marvel Avengers guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 September 2020
In this chapter of Marvel's Avengers guide, you will learn how to upgrade gear and thus increase its Power level and attributes value.
During your time with Marvel's Avengers, you will equip and replace numerous items, especially before reaching the maximum overall Power level. However, if you have found an item that fits perfectly with your playstyle, but unfortunately has a low Power level, you can increase its statistics in a very simple and quick way. In some cases, you will use them even in the endgame portion of the game. Below is a brief tutorial on how to increase gear's Power level in Marvel's Avengers.
How to increase gear's Power level?
To enhance the Power level of the basic gear in Marvel's Avengers, you will need a certain amount of resources, such as Parts, Nanite, Nanotube, Catalysts, Plasma, and Upgrade Modules. You can obtain them, for example, by dismantling useless gear. Each reinforcement made increases the item's Power by 1 point. If you want to upgrade Artifacts, you will need Uru resource. As for items with more than 1 perk, you need to unlock them all first before you are able to increase that item's Power level.
If you want to increase the Power level of an item, select that gear, make sure you have the right amount of required resources, and then hold down the button (Square on PS4). As you can see in the image above, Black Widow's Legendary belt requires the player to unlock 2 perks before it can be enhanced.
Before you start raising the Power level of an item, note that Uncommon items can only be improved 3 times, Rare 5 times, and Legendary 10 times.
