Before playing Star Wars Jedi Survivor, you may wonder whether the second part of Cal and BD-1's adventures is more difficult than Jedi Fallen Order. We have compared the boss fights, fights versus groups of standard enemies, exploration and puzzle solving.

Boss fights

In Star Wars Jedi Survivor,boss fights can be very challenging, and many of them are more difficult than comparable battles from Jedi Fallen Order. You will encounter bosses that can seriously injure Cal even with a single attack. Bosses are also more likely to use a series of attacks, as well as combinations of regular moves and unblockable attacks.

Some bosses have several health bars or fights with them are divided into a few phases, where they gain new powerful abilities. The game may also force you to fight several bosses (e.g. 2 Rancors in the example in the picture). This makes it very difficult to avoid their attacks.

Fights with groups of enemies

Fights with standard enemies are initially easy, and Jedi Survivor may seem like it is not that demanding for players who have played Jedi Fallen Order.

The situation changes in later locations and quests:

1. you may encounter elite enemies more often, such as bigger types of droids or stormtroopers equipped with good weapons;
2. the game may force you to fight several waves of opponents.

You should expect that, more often than in Jedi Fallen Order , you can get killed by some regular opponent, not just a boss.

Exploration and puzzles

Jedi Survivor uses the familiar system of saving the game and resting at meditation points. Defeated opponents (except for bosses) can get respawned when you do that. Players who have finished Jedi Fallen Order should be used to this and know that it is worth playing more carefully.

Jedi Survivor has more challenging platforming and exploration elements than those in the first installment of the series. The game can, for example, force you to make a series of wall runs, jump from one bar to another or avoid a series of traps. You have to master the controls and the execution of the most important moves. Setting a lower difficulty level will not simplify exploration - you will have to defeat the same obstacles.

The puzzles are at a similar level to those in the first game. You should not have much trouble with them except for a few exceptions. We have described the more difficult puzzles in the Puzzles chapter.
