What is the Unseen Aid in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice? Sekiro guide, walkthrough
Last update: 25 March 2019
Unseen Aid - this is one of the more mysterious mechanics of the game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. On this page we inform you how to check the current percentage value of this parameter, and what is its meaning.
You can easily check the current value of Unseen Aid by opening the inventory window-it is displayed at the bottom of the screen (image above).
Alternatively the game also informs you about Unseen Aid after reaching any statue of the sculptor ("bonfires").
Unseen Aid percentage is the chance to avoid all penalties at the time of death of the protagonist. We are talking exclusively about the "final" death, that is, the one that ends back in the last camp. If you're lucky, you won't lose experience points or gold.
Unseen Aid does not turn on if you decide to revive the hero to immediately get a second chance.
An important feature of Unseen Aid is that the value of this factor gradually decreases as the game progresses. This is directly related to the worldwide disease - Dragonrot.
Every time you die on the battlefield you can get a negative item called the Rot Essence. Each such "unnecessary gift" reduces the probability of Unseen Aid by a few percent.
We recommend taking a look at the site, how to die less often in Sekiro? in our guide. Applying the techniques and tips mentioned in this section should help you keep on longer and higher value of Unseen Aid.
You can recover Unseen Aid's default value (which is 30%) but this isn't easy to do. Check How to avoid Dragonrot spread? page in our guide. Your deaths will make the NPCs fall sick.
If you bring Emma a sample of a sick person's blood and you give her time, she will offer you Dragon's Blood Droplet and Recovery Charm.
From now on you can use Dragon's Blood Droplets at Sculptor's Idols. Thanks to them you can use Dragonrot Restoration. If you do that, the Unseen Aid will go back to 30%.
Dragon's Blood Droplets can be found during exploration or purchased from merchants (180 sen per piece).
