How to dive in the water in Sekiro? Sekiro guide, walkthrough
Last update: 30 March 2019
In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you can reach many rivers and reservoirs. On this page of our guide we explain whether the hero is able to dive in order to get to the new potential treasures lying on the bottom of water reservoirs.
Yes, diving is possible, but it must be unlocked thanks to the passive ability. Don't expect this to happen early in the game. The opportunity to acquire diving skills appears only during the exploration of the last location in the game - Ashina Depths. You have to go through the subsequent sections of this place until you get to the lair of Corrupted Monk boss.
As a reward for defeating the Corrupted Monk game will unlock the passive ability associated with diving - Mibu Breathing Technique.
From now on, when you jump into the water, you can press R2 / right trigger to dive. L2 / left trigger is for swimming up. Circle / B allows you to swim faster under water.
The main attractions waiting for the hero under water are:
- New containers with standard or unique treasures (e.g., prayer beads).
- New fish, including a new carp, where you can get the Treasure Carp Scale.
- New opponents, including new bosses (like Headless - from the reservoir at the back of Ashina's castle).
