Switch the lever on western wall and then defeat the monks - main quest "The Rising Tide".

Talk to Farentis. He will give you a key.
The Rising Waterway
If you want to go through, you have to arrange the panels:
- First panel is City in flames
- Second panel is Tidal wave
- Third panel is Barren shore
- Fourth panel is Flourishing city
Chamber of Tears
Switch the lever on pedestal - main quest "The Rising Tide".
Exits from locations
M8 � Exit to the Abbey of the Fallen Moon.
M9 � Stairs to Halls of Presence.
The map presents Halls of Silence which are the lower level of the Abbey. The entire location is connected with The Rising Tide. You will encounter a few weak opponents in caves in the east. Apart from that, you will have to fight some monks. You can use Halls of Silence to access Halls of Presence or The Abbey of the Fallen Moon.

In order to get to the other side, you will have to solve a puzzle. Use the panels in the following order:
- City in flames;
- Tidal wave;
- Barren shore;
- Flourishing city.

Additional information concerning Halls of Silence
If you access Halls of Silence via Halls of Presence, you will be stopped by Guard (M10,1). He will let you pass after you pass the ritual prepared by Kaoto (M9,4).
You can also access Halls of Silence via The Abbey of the Fallen Moon. You can find a ledge in the east part of the location (M8,2). Use it to reach caves in Halls of Silence. You will need a Grappling Hook and a character with Dexterity at level 18 or higher. This will save you a lot of fighting.
