This page of our guide to Doom Eternal explains how to use an interesting feature that may be appealing to the fans of the first two parts of the series - Doom (1993) and Doom II: Hell on Earth (1994). We explain how to switch the weapon position to the classic one (in the center of the screen).

Classic weapon view allows you to position the weapon in the middle of the screen instead of holding the firearm on the left or right side of the screen (like in most FPS games). This change is purely cosmetic and does not affect the power of the weapon or its usefulness on the battlefield.

To use this option you have to open the game settings. Find the Classic Weapon Pose item in the Game tab and enable it.

From now on, every weapon you use will be visible in the center of the screen.
