The singleplayer campaign of Doom Eternal contains many different secrets. This page lists all secrets, their types and the effect they have on the main hero.
The further pages of this chapter contains the locations of secrets, listed separately for each mission.

Doom Eternal - secrets
- Each level has a certain number of secrets. Their number can be viewed on the map found in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- The amount of secrets in the given stage can be viewed in the Fortress of Doom by checking the information visible when choosing the mission.
- Remember that you can repeat every level of the campaign. This way, you don't have to find all secrets during the first playthrough.
- A lot of secrets are accessed by using the elements of environment. Look for holes in walls, unstable elements, walls for climbing and pipes for jumping.
Is there a skill that makes finding secrets easier?
In the game, you can upgrade your suit. One section of the upgrades involves exploration.
By developing these skills, you will make it much easier for yourself to find secrets.
In this case, Item Finder upgrade should prove to be useful.
Automap
There is one automap terminal to find during each mission. Activating it reveals the whole map.
Thanks to the complete map, you can quickly check what locations you haven't visited yet, and see the path to the next area.
The automap terminal is not always classified as a secret.
Crystals
The game allows you to improve your health, armor, or ammunition limit each time you receive or acquire a Sentinel Crystal.
If you manage to upgrade those three skills in full, you receive an achievement - Crystal Craving.
Praetor Suit Points
These secrets allow you to upgrade your Praetor Suit. This way you will constantly develop your character, facilitating further encounters.
If you manage to upgrade one of the segments in full, you'll receive an achievement - This One's My Favorite.
Codex entries
The codex entries that appear on the map have specific fiery icons. That makes them hard to miss.
If you manage to collect all the codex entries you'll get a trophy - If Only I Could Read...
Weapons upgrades
In Doom Eternal, there are special robots called modbots that allow you to develop your weapons. You can freely choose from available upgrades or create new loadouts.
Figurines
Figurines are one of the secrets available in Doom Eternal. You'll find them in various places on the map.
If you mange to collect every figurine, you'll unlock a trophy - Playset Sold Separately.
Floppy disks
Floppy disks containing cheat codes are special secrets that can be discovered in various hidden locations around the map. You can use the found codes when repeating campaign missions. Cheats will make it much easier for you to reach 100% completion of the game.
If you manage to collect all floppy disks, you'll receive a trophy - Reforged the Genie Lamp.
Runes
Runes are special skills that you can unlock by exploring the map. You can use them to strengthen your character or give him interesting skills.

Albums
Vinyl albums are one type of collectibles found in Doom Eternal.
If you collect them all, you will receive a trophy - Metal Head.
Sentinel Battery
The batteries are used to open special rooms in the Fortress of Doom. You can get them by completing challenges and exploring the world.
Secret areas
This is a specific category. Secret areas are often home to various pickups and collectibles. Most of the time, these are pathways, ventilation shafts or small caves that are used to reach other secrets.
You can view the Exploration section to learn how many secrets areas you've manged to unlock.
Extra Life
Extra lives can also be treated as a secret. They are used to increase the amount of lives of your hero which will give you a chance of surviving the battles ahead.
Extra lives are often hidden in caves or narrow corridors.
